Ten of us had dinner here for a girlfriend's birthday yesterday 5th May. I don't usually write reviews but since the food was so bad and the service too slow, here I sit in the early hours of Sunday morning because I just can't go to bed before venting.
The staff were friendly but took forever to take our order. It was over an hour before we received our dinner on what was obviously a slow night, there were only 3 other tables occupied. We had to ask on 3 separate occasions where our food was and at one stage the waitperson walked past us without stopping telling us "it's ready didn't you hear the bell?" Excuse me? How rude!
I ordered the veal with blue cheese. It arrived just warm not hot so that it got cold rather quickly. There was no blue cheese to be seen or tasted in the mushroom coloured sauce that my pile of thin, dry, unceremoniously dumped leathery veal was swimming in. There was little to no seasoning on several of the meals and when we asked for some we were given a ridiculous 2 in one salt shaker/pepper grinder combo that kept spilling chunks of pepper into my meal as I tried to shake out some salt.
Several of us were given separate bowls of vegetables with our meals. The vegetables were the best part of the meal if you didn't mind what appeared to be pieces of charred baked vegetable that were in it. Not what you'd expect for a meal costing $29 dollars.
We had brought a cake and asked them to keep it in the fridge. 10 minutes after the cake was served to us we started joking that, perhaps, they expected us to attack it with our bare hands. We had to ask a passing waitperson for the knife and plates. As we cut the cake it looked too soft. Then, when we tasted it we realised why. Our baked ricotta cake had not been refrigerated for the almost 3 hours we had been there. Disgusting. And then to be charged $15 dollars cakeage on top of a bill of almost $400?! Needless to say we left no tip.
Several of my companions were not pleased with their dinners either. Tough veal, flavourless king prawn fettuccine with barely any prawns (def not king prawns) plus one of us had to ask several times for some parmesan cheese for her pasta. We don’t know what it was but it was flavourless and definitely Not parmesan.
Sauce Eatery, price wise you have delusions of grandeur, your service leaves a lot to be desired, your food is mediocre as I have had better for less at chain cafe's somewhere else. We will not be dining here again.

My husband and I have recently moved in the area and pass this restaurant to and from home every day. It always seems quite busy and spotting it in the entertainment book, we decided to give it a try.
Unfortunately, the food was below par. There were several waitresses who all looked very young (which isn't a problem) but none of them could take orders! Only one could so we had to wait several minutes for our order to be taken.
We ordered the garlic king prawns and white bait chips as starters which were Ok. Nothing amazing. For our mains, we ordered the 'Best in Sydney' chicken schnitzel with roasted vegetables and the greek lamb pizza. The schnitzel was seasoned well but undercooked in parts. The roasted vegetables were incredibly roasted that they were mushy. I can't say this is Sydney's best schnitzel at all.
The greek lamb pizza was an even bigger disappointment! At almost $30 for the pizza, there was very little lamb and not very well seasoned at all. It was edible but definitely not worth $30. Take away pizza places (that I do avoid) have tasted better!
In summary, the food was edible but nothing to write home about. I doubt we will ever go back even though it's only a short drive (or walk even) from home. Lucky we had the entertainment voucher!

Found this place in the entertainment book and got a nice surprise. We had crumbed button mushrooms and garlic prawns for our entree then both veal with mushrooms and with blue cheese sauces. The veal was cooked just right and it was Real Veal! I would definitely recommend this little place and will go back again.

Booked a table for 8 people only to be told when I arrived there was no booking! Bad customer service when their online booking fails and it was sent to 2 separate emails. Never again!

First time eatability user and I must say that it is such a great tool! Found Sauce Eatery whilst I was looking for a good place to eat in my area (Concord) We ate here Last Friday night and I must say, wow! The service was good, but the food stole the evening, I had the shanks and my wife had a pasta, there was something different about this food, although simple it was complex in a different way. It really made us feel warm inside! Thank you Eatability!

Fantastic food and wonderful service, much much more than a typical Italian restaurant. Well worth traveling from afar to experience Sauce.

We have been here several times for breakfast, lunch, dinner and takeaway pizza. The food has always been nice, although there are a few stand-out dishes. The lamb shanks on the current dinner menu are really lovely, very tender and tasty. There was a tasting dish on the summer lunch menu which was also excellent value and quality. If you feel like takeaway pizzas, they have a great happy hour special (2 classic pizzas for the price of 1) between 5 and 6 daily.
The restaurant looks a bit small from the outside but there are quite a few seats further back. The outdoor area is relatively small but otherwise it is a very pleasant restaurant.

Every time I have eaten at this place I have been disappointed. Only reason why I've been back is because I have friends that often like to arrange group bookings there, due to location, ease of BYO etc. However, after the last experience we all had there, not even they have gone back and they were avid regulars. The main night that we went where it was awful, was a "Greek night" that they'd held. Main problems were, every dish that came out was finger food/picky, almost like tapas, took way way too long to come out, we'd gotten there at 6:30pm and by 9:45pm we were still waiting for food to come out.
Came out in dribs and drabs, wasn't very much of it, so we were all still hungry when we left however we'd been waiting that long for the food, which was average at best (and not even proper Greek food) that there was no point in ordering or eating anything else because we were all just over it by the end of the evening. It was also expensive being a set price which from memory was about $45 per person. A lot of money to spend on a local restaurant and still leave hungry! Other times I have been I have always ordered the pasta which is ok. Steak wasn't great, they say it's "chargrilled" yet doesn't taste it, and in fact we later found out it's cooked in the oven and then finished off in the pan. Hardly what you'd call chargrilled.
I also on one occasion really wanted pizza but was told by the waitress that there'd be a really long wait on pizza so I should order something else. So I reluctantly ordered a pasta, though over an hour later I was still waiting for it, and the table next to me that had ordered after us were eating and yep you guessed it, they were eating pizza! So that kind of annoyed me. And the one toilet in that place is really not great either. I wouldn't recommend it as the food is overpriced for what you get.

Went for dinner tonight since they did a mail drop and advertised a dinner special. Food was ok, but service really let this restaurant down. We were kept waiting many times which ended up making it not a very nice dining experience. If they could focus on improving their service this restaurant could do really well.
