Parking Suggestions
Sanders is at the end of Cabarita Rd in Cabarita Park on d'Albora Marina. It sounds confusing however it is actually very simple. Drive along Cabarita rd, enter the park, keep driving down to the water and you will eventually drive into the car park in front of the Marina. There is over 200 car parks in the Park so you will always get a spot.
Rather than park you can also catch the Jet Cat from Parramatta or Circular Quay it costs $5 and is a great way to get to Sanders Waterfront Restaurant.

Sanders Waterfront Restaurant has been an icon for a la carte and functions for nearly 20 years.
The restaurant is located on d’Albora Marina which is in the inner west suburb of Cabarita (approx 15km from the CBD or Parramatta). We are a casual fine dining waterfront restaurant specialising in red meat, poultry, seafood and vegetarian dishes served with a modern Australian influence.
Sanders sits on top of the water, offering its patrons an unobstructed 270 degree view up and down Sydney Harbour and recently we underwent a major renovation ensuring that the experience of dining at Sanders just went to the next level.
Food is our passion and for over 15 years the SMH Good Food Guide has listed Sanders as a venue of choice for those who appreciate a gourmet delight.
Regardless of the nature of your event the team at Sanders has the expertise and flexibility to make your next function or a la carte booking one to remember.
Sanders cater for all business and personal events up to 120 seated and 200 standing. If you have a smaller function we can package up an exclusive or non exclusive function from as little as 15 guests.

Loved it! gets better everytime I go!!!! although it was a bit dark while I was eating and I could hardly see my food.
Response from Management:
Guilty as charged on this one. We have rectified the lighting as we had a issue with the dimmers. All fixed and looking great.

My husband and I recently went to a function at Sanders. I'm always a bit weary of my husbands work functions, but this one topped the lot! The food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The young waitresses and manager did a wonderful job of looking after us and meeting our needs.
I would love to come back and have a meal in the daylight to see the view more, and taste the whole al carte menu, as the function only had 3 choices per course, but that was because we were quite a large group. Can't wait to come back! And a big thank you to all the staff, I will push my husband to have more work functions down at Sanders.

We went to a wedding there on the weekend and after it was sensational. The staff could not have been more helpful, the views were stunning as the restaurant sits over the water and the food was plentiful and beautifully presented. Top marks for the new owners we loved the experience.

What a beautiful setting! Wonderful, if you bring your own picnic and don't have to rely on the restaurant for good food or efficient and friendly service! My husband and I went with a large party and expected the service and food to be comparable with the price, views and settings, but no! The younger wait persons were pleasant and as helpful as they could be under the watchful and critical eye of the senior waiter.
The steaks were blood red and we hadn't been asked our preference for how they were to be cooked. Four of us sent them back to the kitchen. As someone who has major allergies to certain food, I was most dissatisfied with the attitude of the senior waiter to my request that my allergies be considered. I was then told that of course there was nothing in the meal to which I would be allergic.
Quite the opposite, there certainly was, and I took a week to get over the effects. Perhaps, I should have asked to talk to the chef, who hopefully would have known what was in the food we were served, obviously the waiter didn't know and couldn't care. My friends had tiny appertisers and stale bread, but nothing was offered to me in its place to make up for this food that I couldn't eat.
I have eaten in many many restaurants and all have been sympathetic and helpful in providing me with food that will not make me ill as a result of my allergies, this is the FIRST restaurant that I have ever been to where I have been treated with such disrespect and ignorance about allergies and food.
My recommendation, buy take aways next door and enjoy the scenery AND the food, at a FRACTION of the cost!

The setting is perfect but that is all! The young waiter and waitress were quite nice and helpful, however the man in charge on the Friday night we attended was initially too nice (quite smarmy actually) and then became very brusque as the night wore on. Although being advised in advance that members of our group had food allergies, no attempt was made to cater for these needs, and any request was greeted with utter contempt and disbelief by the man in charge.
When ordering a steak the customer is usually asked how they would like it done, but not at this restaurant! And when this information was supplied it was not written down. All steaks were served at the same level - rare! Those of us who requested our steaks be sent back to be cooked a little more were completely ignored by the gentleman in charge, however the young waitress took the plates back with a smile and organised this.
The steaks were served on a bed of mashed potato (this was the only vegetable accompaniment) and were returned still in exactly the same spot, with both the potato and plate scorching hot as the whole plate had obviously been placed in a microwave, but at least the steak was no longer as rare. Interestingly they did not have enough steak knives for the ten or so people eating them, only one of us had a steak knife, the rest had to cut their fairly tough steak with a butter knife! Additionally, a friend who is lactose intolerant was assured the mashed potato had no milk added, nor did the dessert, even though milk/cream could be tasted in both and she felt ill afterwards.
Overall, although the desserts were quite nice, the portions were very small and very little vegetable or salad was supplied to accompany the main. The bread was quite stale (which makes you wonder how fresh other food would be) and we were grossly overcharged for this terrible meal.

We were a part of a very large group. I can say the location (sitting on water), views and desserts were fantastic. However, we were very disappointed with the choice on the menu for the set menu we were offered for such a large group.
For entrees we were given chicken and lamb pastries - they were actually 'party pies'!! And only one each. There were 2 choices only for mains and desserts. A few of us have special dietary requirements (one is allergic to garlic, another to gluten and dairy, another vegetarian) and the waiter gave such attitude about it - as if it was just too much of an inconvenience to cater for us.
Two people asked for well done steak and sent their meals back twice because they were raw. The plates came back very hot to touch - was the meat not taken off and re-cooked? The waiter also told a member of our group that the dessert had no gluten or dairy in it, when in fact it did. This person has a severe allergy to these products, and had she eaten the dessert based on the advice of the waiter, she would have become gravely ill or worse. When we asked for a garlic free steak, he said there were just too many dishes to make up a special one with no garlic. Another case of 'inconvenience'. We informed him the person had allergies, and lo and behold a garlic free steak appeared.
Most seafood restaurants, even though their main fare is seafood, will have a few other choices of dishes such as chicken or veal - no, not this one. Only come here if you specifically want seafood. There weren't too many complaints about the seafood dishes, except a few people thought the swordfish was tougher than they'd hoped. And ALL you got on the plate was the fish - no other accompaniments like vegetables etc.
Salad came much later, when we were almost half way through the mains. I was allowed to order off the a la carte menu because I don't eat seafood or red meat, and the ravioli sounded really nice. It wasn't. It was very, very average and I only got 3 pieces of ravioli pasta!! Certainly NOT a satisfying meal if you're hungry.
The other thing that is most disappointing, is how much money we paid for what we received. It cost $87 per head including drinks, and look......for a spoonful (literally) of salmon as an appetizer, a party pie, some stale bread, salad with 2 pieces of tomato and 2 olives, a tiny serving for a main and the size of the dessert (although dessert was great) $87 is just too much for the venue, quality of food, and the standard of service. Many of us will not be returning to this restaurant.

This place has come of age. Having suffered dinner there a few years ago we vowed never to return...then hearing of the change of management we decided to give it a go. We had a party of 10. 10 ladies for lunch! It was spectacular. The setting as always was just gorgeous and the decor changes have made such a difference.
The service was great, food and it's presentation was just lovely and well the desserts...no nobody in the group skipped on the desserts. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff even though we sat on coffee, then extra coffees long into the afternoon. The ability to BYO wine is also a plus especially when dining with a group. Yes there is a $5.00 corkage charge but it is worth it to bring your own special wine.
We had a spectacular afternoon. We will definitely be returning!

We had dinner for Valentines day at Sanders. Food was great although the main serving was a little on the small side. Valentines had a set menu, we can't wait to go back and try the a la carte. Service was good too.

Apparently Sanders has recently been refurbished with new carpet and windows, furniture, lighting etc. Having never been before I can't compare it, but it was all very nice. Six of us went for my mother's birthday. You can't fault the setting and the views are wonderful.
The service was very attentive, almost too nice (fake?). The food was very nice, but probably a tad over priced for what it was. There were no complaints about anybody's meals, but the 2 guys who ordered swordfish had nothing served with it and even though we ordered a side salad, some potatoes or chips on the plate would have been nice. 3 of us had the battered flathead fillets with chips. The fish was very nice, although very small pieces, but the chips were ridiculously large and almost raw in the middle. My sister had the steak with bone marrow and thought it was wonderful. The desserts were good, but not wonderful.
All in all we had a very pleasant evening, but we think the place has tickets on itself and acts like a posh five star dining experience when it doesn't quite hit the mark - excpet for the prices. Would go again though.

We had Christmas lunch for 10 at Sanders on December 14 and can't rave enough about the quality of the food, the service, the location and the entire experience. We caught the Rivercat from the city, an extremely fabulous way to travel to lunch, so it was only an easy 5 minute walk to the restaurant.
We were early but this didn't impose any problems to the professional and friendly team of wait staff. They really couldn't have been more helpful. Food was excellent and the choice is superb. Lots of fresh and gorgeous flavours with the emphasis on seafood of course. The view is wonderful, right on the water, and there isn't a 'bad' seat in the place; everyone has a view.
I would assume that the new management team have made a real difference to Sanders judging by some of the previous reviews. All I can say is give it a try - pick a lovely summer day and go for breakfast or lunch. It is a really lovely Sydney restaurant experience and we will all be making return visits.
