Private Functions

For groups of 12 or more we have a package to suit ever ones budget. What is unique about Sanders is that we serve you like a Fine Dining Restaurant instead of your typical function centre. Everyone gets a choice of the meal they want to eat and it come out freshly cooked and NOT freshly re heated. Whether it be a wedding, christening, birthday or any other function we have all the facilities to make the event a true success.

Business/Corporate Functions

When was the last time you held a seminar or presentation on the water. For a unique way to motivate the team host your next function at Sanders. We have a huge Plasma screen to use for your presentations, whiteboards and flip charts and after the day is done everyone can enjoy a true five star meal to complete the event.

Sanders plays a vast array of modern contemporary music inside the restaurant. The feeling on dining on water warrants smooth chilled out tones and that is how create the unique atmosphere at Sanders.

  • Coffee scented crème brulee with kahluah poached dates, vanilla bean ice cream and coffee syrup
  • Char grilled fillet of Blue Eyed Cod on a warm salad of Sicilian olive, green beans, roast red peppers, potato and red onion finished with lemon vinaigrette and wilted cherry tomatoes.
  • Seared sea scallops on green pea aioli with oven dried prosciutto, gremolata and crispy kipfler chips
  • Char grilled beef tenderloin with sautéed baby spinach, creamy mashed potato, onion jam, garlic cream and red wine jus.

Sanders is at the end of Cabarita Rd in Cabarita Park on d'Albora Marina. It sounds confusing however it is actually very simple. Drive along Cabarita rd, enter the park, keep driving down to the water and you will eventually drive into the car park in front of the Marina. There is over 200 car parks in the Park so you will always get a spot. Rather than park you can also catch the Jet Cat from Parramatta or Circular Quay it costs $5 and is a great way to get to Sanders Waterfront Restaurant.

Overview of Sanders Waterfront Restaurant

Sanders Waterfront Restaurant has been an icon for a la carte and functions for nearly 20 years.

The restaurant is located on d’Albora Marina which is in the inner west suburb of Cabarita (approx 15km from the CBD or Parramatta). We are a casual fine dining waterfront restaurant specialising in red meat, poultry, seafood and vegetarian dishes served with a modern Australian influence.

Sanders sits on top of the water, offering its patrons an unobstructed 270 degree view up and down Sydney Harbour and recently we underwent a major renovation ensuring that the experience of dining at Sanders just went to the next level.

Food is our passion and for over 15 years the SMH Good Food Guide has listed Sanders as a venue of choice for those who appreciate a gourmet delight.

Regardless of the nature of your event the team at Sanders has the expertise and flexibility to make your next function or a la carte booking one to remember.

Sanders cater for all business and personal events up to 120 seated and 200 standing. If you have a smaller function we can package up an exclusive or non exclusive function from as little as 15 guests.

    12 of us went to Sanders for a special birthday function - we waited 20mins for our champagne which we had to pour ourselves! The service was very ordinary - the waitress never smiled once and was completely unaware of what the guests were doing eg she continued to serve people in the middle of photos and speeches etc. Food was OK.

    We went here on a very cold night and the management had the courtesy to phone before and advise that the heating wasn't working. We decided to brave it, and it was quite drafty, being basically a deck with clear plastic blinds which were flapping in the wind.

    I had the $39 set menu of two courses. My peppered calamari entree with a tangy salad was really good, and followed by fish and chips. Choosing your own entree and main costs $54.

    We did not have dessert as they weren't serving anything hot. We could not have chosen a worse night and would like to go back in daylight and better conditions.

    Considering its excellent location, the price was quite reasonable, however the food quality was poor! Our group expected much better. As an example, three members of our group ordered the beef, only to be disappointed, with significantly overcooked meat! We won't be back!

    Hi Yolanda, I am a little confused as to what is overcooked. Sanders actually does not have a steak on the menu the concept of overcooking something we don't have is a little misleading. Possibly you may have got us confused with another restaurant.

    Sanders has a history of treating prospective patrons like dirt! I have eaten there once and enjoyed the meal but will never go back! They have phoned me three times to tell me that they have cancelled my booking due to a larger party booking the premises. I think this is a dreadful way to treat customers and, as a result, I wouldn't go back there if they paid me! There was no apology and one of the bookings I had made (three weeks ahead of time) was even confirmed only to be cancelled two days before the event. Shame on you Sanders!

    We were lucky enough to hold our wedding reception at Sanders on the evening of March 12, 2011. It was the most amazing and electric night of our lives and have the team at Sanders to thank for it. From the trouble taken with table arrangements, playing our selection of music, use of av equipment, beautiful food (Choices of 3 entrees, mains and desserts!) and such accommodating, friendly and attentive service, Sanders made our special night one we will never forget.

    We have received countless compliments about the venue, service, food and ambience and will avidly suggest this venue to anybody considering a unique and special gathering on Sydney's beautiful harbourside.

    One of my worst experiences. Went there yesterday for Valentine's day and the whole night ended up being a disaster. We are not the kind of complaining or whinging easily but I had to admit this was pretty bad.

    They only had maybe 10-15 tables yesterday, their service was dreadful. Staff late to get your order for drinks, everyone was served but us, we had to wait 20mins before having someone taking our order. 45-50mins to get the main served. Ok we did smile & didn't mention anything.

    Entry served, veal dumping. Except that the veal wasn't cooked & the dish was cold. Being 4 month pregnant its not ideal to eat raw meat hey. Told the waitress, got apologies from management & my husband got a free drink. Ok lets hope the main meal is better. Well not exactly, meal was hot but no taste, nothing to boast about. We could have had the same meal with any local RSL.

    Dessert? Again big disappointment, their chocolate mousse was as good as coles yoghurt. This was in no way good quality food you expect from a restaurant. No bread was served with dinner. Everything is over priced as well.
    At the end of the night this was a really bad experience.

    I thought this would be a great place for a nice dinner as I checked all these excellent reviews on that website. What a disappointment. I would just recommend people to be careful with that restaurant. Honestly it is no good. I wouldn't recommend it.

    There is something dodgy about their kitchen. They cook their meals at the entry of the wharf but got the staff to walk into corridors & make you believe that the kitchen is behind the bar. Just check the kitchen on arrival... It just sounds weird, not right.

    Have been to Sanders at least 4 times and each time we have been very impressed with the food and the venue. Not so much the service though. Most recently, we have been for a leisurely lunch and while we were relaxed, it doesn't man that the wait staff can relax to he point that they ignore their customers. Friendly but just not up to the standard of the food and view.

    Went here with family for christmas lunch with the special christmas menu offer. Firstly, our booking was not handled correctly by staff leading to much fuss and miscommunication/not returned phone calls regarding deposits, as well as being incorrectly told we could BYO. No apology was made and we were told it was our error! Food was overall quite good, the calamari and beef had excellent flavours, beef quite a small portion however. My dessert was terrible - chocolate pave that was obviously packed with gelatine and was rock like - I found myself comparing it to a kid's yogo, the flavour being very lacking and thinking I would prefer the yogo. Service was lacking, young staff with a "yeh right ok" attitude, especially considering the prices of the restaurant, you do expect better.

    Hi there. Thanks for your feedback. I am a little concerned as as the owner for the month of December every and I mean every call came thru to my mobile phone and I can assure you there is no way we advised you there was a BYO option in December. Together with this every web site we have correctly states there is no BYO in December. As a result I have no idea who you spoke to but there was no misinformation given.

    I have eaten here on 2 occasions now and apart from the great location, everything they do can be improved specially the food. I suppose the price is high due to the location. I do recommend it as it is an amazing view.

    We had our daughter's christening here and the staff and food were fantastic, they even put up with some extremely rude members of our party and tried to smooth things over for us. The service was exceptional. We also went back for my nephew's communion and again everything was just great. Its a great venue and everyone is so lovely. Definitely want to come back and have dinner!


    Sanders lives up to its reputation. We held my mother in law's birthday party here in October and the staff/service and food were fantastic. Always so professional and obliging and the wonderful thing is they had another function booked straight after ours and never once made us feel rushed about getting out of there.

    Belinda and Lorenzo are fantastic. Will definitely be going back!
