I can't comment about the food at this cafe as I have never been (and never will go) but I just also got a taste of the brusk service other reviewers have experienced. I called to check if the cafe was open today (Monday) as it was closed when we attempted to eat there yesterday. I mentioned that I had a LivingSocial voucher to use and I got 'We're not accepting those vouchers. Call Living Social for a refund' before he hung up!

Seriously, how hard is it to be polite?

Love this place, I'm local and I choose this cafe for its service, location and food. Wraps and chicken burger are fantastic. Food is always fresh. If you come early you can always see chef cooking it and the guy that makes coffee is always friendly and nice. The view is perfect. No complains on my side.

I get my morning coffee hit here daily, they just know how to make the perfect cup first time every time. I have tried some of the other cafes nearby and they just don't hit the mark coffee wise. Great outdoor seating area and a great
range of food. The steak baguette is a particular favourite!

I frequent this great little cafe mainly for the amazing coffee. Chairs and tables are set up outside, which is a beautiful place to sit to enjoy the sunshine and the view. The food is top notch, my favorite being the delicious risotto's. The staff remember you and are always friendly.

I've been going here for 7 years. I like the guy that makes the coffee. It's always better than other places even when I'm going to other cafes on the weekend. Food is always fast and fresh. Love there chicken baguette.

We tried Salve for lunch this week. Very disappointing. It was a beautiful day and lunch in the sun sounded great. On the positive side we discovered they serve wine and beer. We ordered a Boags from a choice of 2 or 3, and had to settle for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc from the one red and one white on the “list”.

The mains, a pasta and a noodles dish tasted ok, but had obviously been reheated in a clapped out microwave, as the pasta was tough and rubbery and the dishes were closer to tepid than hot or even warm. The bill came to $41.00 and included a dollar charge for paying by credit card. Is this common? We said we would, therefore, pay cash. After a bit of haggling the dollar was deducted from the bill as it should have been without us having to ask.

The poor quality of the food and maths probably accounts for so many empty tables on such a sunny day.

I would have to agree that the guy that works there is really rude. He would not even address me when I stood there and asked if I could get a Latte. After he gave my drink, I proceeded to see him chew out one of his employee's. I stress I would not go here if you had the choice. Just go up the street and check some of the other joints out. The service is a joke.
