We had dinner here last night (Mothers Day). We were very rude in that we hadn't booked but just dropped in on spec to see if they had a table. They didn't treat us with the comtempt which we deserved but were extremely accommodating.

Luckily it was early and they could give us an hour which was perfect! We went with the staff's suggestions which were the slow cooked lamb (cooked all day) and the gnocchi. I didn't try the gnocchi but reports were good. The lamb was melt in the mouth and the pasta perfect. I'll be back and next time I'll book, and I'll bring wine.

We had dinner here with 10 people, it was so good, the food was fantastic, the service great, the ambience was cosy and comfortable. The chef made an amazing birthday cake for our birthday friend and it was reasonably priced. We will definitely return!

I really enjoyed my dinner at this restaurant, the food was fresh and tasty, the selection was good. I met three friends and all of our meals looked fabulous and tasted excellent. Generous portions. Lovely setting. Service was good on the night. Great local.

Paul & his team at Salt Pepper Nutmeg truly deliver a great dinner service at my home. What a treat to celebrate my birthday at home with the family mid-week, to have a beautiful 4 course meal served without spending hours cooking or cleaning. The oysters were just so fresh, the sugarcured salmon was sensational, the chicken with mushroom and truffle was delicious and the cake looked amazing! Thank you for a wonderful dinner, great service and for taking such care.

Chris and I truly enjoyed our dinner here. We shared the bruschetta for starter, and I had the 8 hour lamb orecchiette while Chris had the lamb shanks. The 8 hour lamb orecchiette is a true gem to this menu. I thoroughly enjoyed it - wished there was a bit more parmesan, but man, I'll be back for it soon!

We went for a girls night out & had a fabulous night. The food was outstanding, albeit slightly overpriced, we had 1 x brushcetta, 4 mains & 2 desserts to share - $40.00 ea. I would definitely go back, the food is fresh & very tasty.

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Very warm, friendly and hospitable and a little bit of character. Loved the decor, interesting and quirky table decorations and hand drawn pictures on the wall from customers was an interesting touch.

Food was quite generous and hearty, hit the spot! Always enjoy watching the new table settings which seem to change often.

Would definitely return and happily would recommend to anyone wanting a pleasant evening meal.

I have been to this restaurant for my husband's Birthday and it was delicious considering the area with a lack of fresh food restaurants. The waitress told us that menu changes from day to day based on the chef's choices, service is very friendly and they also made a surprise birthday cake for my husband.

Tables are decorated with flowers and fresh lettuce and a goodness of vegetables decor the restaurant. We had chicken ravioli with boscaiola sauce, cured salmon with mustard dressing and a vanilla pannacotta and we enjoyed our bottle of wine scrubbing on their table's paper. Great restaurant, we will come back, the only black spot is BYO only.

One of the most enjoyable meals I have had in a long time. The atmosphere reminded me of my childhood, and the chefs discordant singing from the kitchen was slightly hilarious. Being a Sunday afternoon, the two live classical guitarists provided a wonderful backdrop to my family meal- and live music is unique on this stretch of the highway. The food was exactly what it said it would be, fresh, delicious and the chef was kind enough to create a special dish for my fussy children. The staff were polite and courteous, and were able to answer all our questions. Will be back.
