The return of the previous restaurant management to the Sailing Club was a "breath of fresh air". I dined with my partner and was delighted that the food we ordered was cooked and presented in the way descibed on the menu (something of a rarity in some places!).

With a condensed menu and a basic approach with all their dishes we found little to criticise. The seafood was market fresh on the day, and very reasonably priced. Following our revisit, I booked a table for the 2010 Melbourne Cup function with another couple. This turned out to be very impressive with all choices well presented and hot.

I have been back a couple of times since with others and the food and service has been of equal standard. I would duly recommend and hope they can stay "afloat".

Decided to pick the Georges River 16ft Sailing Club for my birthday lunch this year. We picked the Restaurant rather than the bistro, however, I was a little reluctant because of the caterers who also look after a few other restaurants within the area. I should have gone on my gut instinct after my recent visit to Blue Fin at Cronulla Sharks.

The garlic bread came out and was too hard to even cut into serving sizes. The entree sizes of the calamari leave something to be desired. One couple ordered the Lamb Shoulder $52, it was enough to feed one person only then 10 minutes later a bowl of peas and potatoes were brought, too late the meal was just about finished. The Rib Eye which I had was nice but I had to give up half of it for the person who ordered the Pork Belly, one small strip of fat 10cmx10cm!

The remainder of the meals were ok but not worth what we paid for them. Yet another good restaurant in a great location gone downhill. Looks like its a BBQ at home next year for lunch!

Been here many times with the previous caterer. Had a group lunch here with 20 or so people and they all had a great time and enjoyed the food. Went there last week to try the new caterers and my husband and I thought the meals were great! Great presentation, great taste and good serving size. The service was good even though they had a computer problem and it took a while for us to get our bill but the waitresses were very nice. The location is fantastic and the value for money was appropriate for the location and food. Will definitely go back.

Decided to try the new caterers out as they took over last week, allI can say is that our meals were excellent!!
Great food, nice taste and the value for money was even better. Location is to die for, water views are breath taking.

We had the special 'meat trio' was very nice. The views are fantastic and the service was excellent given how busy they were. The value is about right given the location.

It's expensive for the quality of food. The menu is a little boring and predictable. Says fresh, tastes 'thawed' to me. Service is a little relaxed too. Has potential.

Had half lobster mornay, garlic bread and creme brulee with wild berries. Very enjoyable meal. It's a stylish club anyway and the option of either bistro meals out in the main room or a la carte appeals. They burned the top on my creme brulee though, but that's all I can fault them on.

We went to the lunch buffet $12.95 M,T,Wed and the location is great. The food was good value and quality for the price but the service was below average.

Food is overpriced. Service is very bad, we ordered oysters and received prawns, the owner said isnt that close enough. Will never go back. It is a shame, the Club is a great place.
