If you order fish it is cooked fresh and is superb but the pre cooked food at the takeaway section can be awful. The butter chicken was very dry and had passed its use by date. Probably left in the fridge for too long. Too much juice in their dishes. The dahl was more like soup and you have to watch the staff else you get more juice than food. Expensive for the quality and size of the dishes. Good Indian food is extremely rare in Sydney and most people have no idea of the true taste of the real thing. Best Indian food I have ever had was in Beijing of all places.

Great find in the Ashfield area. The Baingan Patiala was amazing, the Palak Paneer nicely gingery, the Kofta Dilbahar spiced just right (unlike some kofta which is simply too mild) and the Paneer Tikka was just incredible. We had never had Methu Vadai before and were pleasantly surprised by them.

Overall it was just a delicious meal, and good value. The decor is nothing special but service was good and food was well timed in the serving. Will definitely visit again.

Decent cheap Indian. Have had dinner and lunch now. Good curries, efficient friendly service and very light on the pocket. Wish there was an Indian this good near my house.

I live in Croydon and work in Ashfield so I get to eat here quite often. I went last night with an Indian friend who has never visited before and we ordered two fish curries, 2 plain naan's and rice.

What transpired next could only be described as Indian Heaven. The curry was perfection! The fish was soft and fresh without that fishy smell. The sauce was a perfect mix of herbs and spices. It was near impossible not to lick the plate.

The naan bread was soft and fresh. And the best compliment I could give is that my Indian friend said that it was better than how her uncle used to make it whilst she was growing up. A real treat! Ambience isn't great but you come for the food. Can't wait to dine here again.

We had home delivery. So ignore the ambient score. The food was really delicious. The sauces were amazing! Delivery was in the time expected. Well done a beautiful meal! My 12 year old is now addicted to butter chicken.

I work in Ashfield and frequent Sai for lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service very attentive. You get the feeling that this is food cooked out back by mum (or dad), who takes a real pride in the art of Indian cooking. I recommend the Thali, although it can take a while as mum/dad is a perfectionist! Anyway, a great place to visit and order some wonderful, aromatic Indian food for a great price. Surroundings are basic, but the vibe is good. What more can I say?!
