Food has always been delicious and servings are generous. The meals are simple, think bangers and mash but so good! The atmosphere is quite nice. Its a good place to chill out with a beer. Prices are reasonably high but they do offer special deals that are fairly good value.

This is such a gem. There's free wifi, great coffee, excellent breakfasts and friendly service, Anthony has assembled a really nice team. It's not Sydney's most inspired menu, but with perfectly cooked steaks and risottos, I'm certainly not complaining. The ingredients are always very fresh and top quality.

You'll find a variety of spaces to relax in, seats outside to watch the world go by, a nice garden to the rear and private booths with seats from old trains. Given the area, Roy's is also very cheap. I've been here dozens of times and have never had a bad experience.

I'll really miss this place and it's great staff when I leave Sydney next week. Take care and best wishes for the future. I hope to see you all again one day.

One block and a world away from Kings Cross is a hidden treasure in one of the prettiest streets in Sydney. Roy's in Victoria St has great ambiance, food, coffee and friendly staff. I like to sit outside and watch the passing parade of mainly backpackers while lingering over breakfast and coffee with a friend or loved one.

For a special treat try the Summer eggs or indulge in the Early Bird special (before 9.00 am Mon - Fri) of 2 lge thick slices of toast, 2 eggs (poached or fried) a lge tomato (halved and grilled), 2 full rashes of bacon with coffee of your choice, all for the incredible value of only $9.50.

As a local of over 16 years Roy's is still my number one favourite spot for breakfast or even just a coffee anytime of the day.

Superb place to have a few beers, easy food and to kill time and watch people. Coffee is good also.

Staff are super friendly and prompt but the quality of the food has slipped markedly over the past six months. I use to go regularly for a good but basic breakfast. The portions in the full breakfast have now shrunk: you only get one bacon rasher, a reduced pile of rubbery mushrooms, an anorexic sausage with two eggs, a hash brown and half a tomato. The quality of the tea has also slipped, it tastes like lightly toasted saw dust steeped in hot water. There is cost cutting but this has gone too far.

I am sorry to say that I was very disappointed with the service there. I have been doing community work in that area for quite a long time, working with homeless persons, people with mental health/drud and alcohol issues. Went there for dinner a few times, nothing spectacular about it.

What was more disappointing was that last week I went there for coffee with one of my clients, one of their staff came out, asked us to leave in a not so polite manner. Now, we are talking about Kings Cross/Potts Point here, if you don't like the look of 99% of the locals, why not open shop somewhere else?

How good is this place!!! Thought I would try somewhere new. Staff are so friendly, food is great value and far too big a serve for any girl to complete. Service is fantastic. Great place to watch the world go by and enjoy a meal and relax. I recommend you try it once, you will keep going back.

First of all, very good value for money. Food is cheap, yet the ingredients used are very high quality, quite rare. The food is delicious, ambience is so comfy and nice. Very relaxed yet great service.

A great little place with tasty food that fills a gap. Best breakfast in Potts Point, great for a quick or a long lunch and always great when you just want a beer and some simple food in the evening. Unpretentious like alot of the eateries in the area, the service is always good. Perfect for when you just want to watch the world go by with a bite to eat or a cuppa!
