Food is a real surprise, veal, grilled barra, kids fishermans baskets, spag marinara (fresh seafood not frozen mix!) all good and healthy serves. Bruschetta could do with more garlic kick, but hey, they use real, crusty bread slices not bakery white rolls cut in half!
Service a bit inattentive and haughty, worst offender looked like she was dressed for the gym with midriff exposed, and in tights, little inappropriate. Drinks at club prices, adequate wine list and a wonderful view. If going on the weekend, be prepared for the big bookings with raucous young children tearing the place apart under the caring gaze of their indulgent parents.
Food was only ok, and a couple of drinks brought the price to $88, so you know, what are you gonna do? Of course, sitting there on the water as the night fell on a calm Sunday was pretty good though, wine, babe, ciggie and still waters..hmm
It was a joke! Service was non existent and when it did it was rude and unwelcoming. I'v had better pasta out of a tin and the seafood was thrown on a plate and then thrown at our table. The location is the ONLY thing this place has got going for it.
We went there over the APEC weekend for dinner so it was very quiet. We had a great time. Watching the city lights and the fireworks reflected in the still water while eating the delicious food and drinking the drinks at club bar prices could not have been better. The service was very friendly and efficient at the same time.
This is the place to go for a cheap cool drink, some good though not great food and views that are a real secret. You'd pay through the nose elsewhere for much worse food than you get here. And you can get a meal for less than $10 if you want or go for the seafood platters, which are still not too pricy. A drink from the bar won't set you back much more than $4. Then there's the terrace, the boats, the harbour.
This is one of my favourite eat outs in Sydney! The pastas are exactly like nonnas cooking, oh and do not even get me started about the seafood, it is so fresh. I have eaten here on more than one occasion and have never had any problems with the service, the team at the rowers are more then friendly. It is a great place to chill out for lunch on the water, the club could be a bit more decorative, though the food and prices make it worth while!
Great place for lunch on a sunny day out on the balcony, great water view plus great food. The nannat (white bait fritters) are the best I have ever had and the octopus is also very good. Prices are very good for a location with waterviews(even if the club itself is a bit run down) and service has always been very good over the last 8 years I have been going here. A hidden gem.
We have been here a number of times over the last 10 years and love it. Saturday or Sunday lunch in the sun on the balcony is wonderful and the baby snapper was super! So good, we have booked for this sunday!
