Good service, food was quite high quality. Kangaroo is still a great dish. Don't like the lounge type seating at some of the tables. Very awkward. Comfy after the meal but difficult trying to eat like that. Nice art works on the walls.

First visit here having heard good things about it from several people. Were pleasantly surprised and will return again. Maybe a little on the pricey side, but the servings were reasonable (no small squares in the middle of a large plate). Food was excellent, and the service was also prompt. Menu had a good selection of different things that we will need to try over a couple of visits.

Thank you to Willy and the team at Rocksalt for making our function over the weekend an unforgettable experience! We had a function of a large group of adults and children.

The service was a 10 out of 10 for the adults and children the same. It was very personalised and I could not fault anything. The food was very tasty set in a cosy environment and with that making this restaurant good value for money! Our guests were raving on about their great experience here and will no doubt be spreading the word.

We had a lovely lunch here on the weekend and would definitely go back. The service was of a very high standard, while the restaurant itself has a cosy, comfortable feel to it. The menu is not huge but what they do offer is very good. I will say that unless you are there for the midweek special (2 courses for $42) all mains are $32 which I felt was on the high side.

Have been here many times and have never been disappointed. The food, the staff everything is wonderful. The Christmas in July is great value for money we have done it twice now and have enjoyed ourselves both times. Have been there numerous times over the last 10 yrs and it has always been a great experience.

I went to Rocksalt with a girlfriend, and the service was top notch. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs, and did not neglect us even though we were sitting outside. We both had entree, main and dessert + drinks, it cost us approx $70pp. The food was top quality. I ordered scallops for entree, fish for mains, and cake for dessert. Parking is plentiful.

We celebrate our annual Xmas get together with friends a couple of weeks ago with a party of 12. The food was excellent (could not fault it) and the service was just as good. I like this place because it has carpet floors which helps reduce the noise so you can actually hear the person next to you talking. My only complaint; make sure you check the bill, we got charged corkage x 36 instead of 12. Minor mistake caused from human error no doubt - but still - you should always check your bill anyway.

Four of us went there - service by several waitresses was superb. Nothing too hard and food came out quickly and looked and tasted great.

Perhaps it was just a bad night but we didn't pay for a bad night! I have often taken friends to Rocksalt for their birthday. I think it's time to find a new destination. The standard of service and food was certainly way below previous visits. Very slow service from unhelpful grumpy staff, very average food quality.

At least they remembered our sides this time (they forgot them on both previous visits). Impossible to get drinks refreshed and waited ages for the bill. We waved our arms about at all 5 staff but none of them seemed able to see us until we called out very loudly "excuse me". At this point, we were one of only 3 active tables.

Mains were dry/tough and uninteresting. Desserts were good. Won't be back in any hurry. Oh, and don't let them seat you on the lounge/booth seating if you want to be able to comfortably reach the table.

May 2010: Rather expensive for a suburban restaurant but the service and standard of food are very high, so worth the spend. A great place for a birthday dinner.

Been here several times gets better every time, willie you run a great establishment congrats hopefully I'll be coming back for many years to come, hope that keg of erdinger never runs dry
