The food here is much better than what you expect from a restaurant in chatswood. Even with the new restaurant around rocket their food is a step above the rest. However, the service could improve a little as I had to ask many times for drinks and I found our wait person to have little knowledge of the menu. But definitely a great place to try.

My son, his new wife and I returned to the Rocket Bar and Grill following their small wedding reception also held there is the separate side room available. The food at the reception was impressive and the service impeccable so we returned for dinner as "normal" diners. Once again, I was very impressed. I had never heard of this Restaurant until the wedding, and I don't know why it's not more commonly known amongst North Shore diners.
We skipped Entres in favour of Dessert, but I spied a Lobster Bisque with Lemon Myrtle which I am absolutely returning to try. My main was a Tortellini with Mustard Fruits and was the best Pasta I have ever had in my life. Absolutely delicious. Before the Main we were brought complimentary tiny samples of mushroom soup, which was very rich and creamy and tasty. Then whilst waiting for Dessert we had a complimentary tasting of an Apple and Custard crumble: really good. Dessert for me was a Sour Cherry Souffle, a big serve, very yummy. Coffee good, and I'm fussy about my coffee.
This Restaurant rates up there with my other favourite Sydney Restaurants, such as Cafe Sydney, Icebergs and China Doll. The only thing missing is a spectacular view, but it's so nice not to have to cross the bridge for fine dining.

Great for a special occasion. A little pricey with a limited seasonal menu, but what they do make is done well. Servings are generous, we also received a (complimentary) amuse bouche. An intimate atmosphere, Lamb was very nice. The head waitress was lovely.

We would definitely come back. Two mains ($36 approx), side serving of vegetables ($9) and bottle of $38 brown brothers champagne totalled around $120.

Quite a pricey classy new place. The food is okay (mix of good and not so good), the surroundings very nice and the service average.

Entree: kingfish carpaccio was refreshing. Pork belly was quite good too.

Main: Black gnocchi was rather tasteless. The duck was tasty but a bit dry. Lamb was tender and cooked just right.

Expensive but the portions are decent. The service was okay, nothing special.

Nice restaurant for a special occasion.

Have eaten here regularly ever since Rocket opened and have never been disappointed. Even had a family birthday here one evening with a large group of people and this was executed to perfection. The food is very tasty, the menu is refreshed regularly, and you never risk walking out of Rocket with an empty stomach as the portions are generous and yet not overpriced. And the staff are very well trained. To give you an indication of the quality of Rocket, just walk by on a weekday at lunchtime and see how many suits are in there.

I have been going to Rocket since it first opened and the standard has never dropped, even when the chef has changed. Excellent seasonal menu that has never given us any disappointment. Not a wine drinker so I cannot comment on the wine list.

What a refreshing restaurant, hidden on top of another Chatswood's escalator. It was a pleasurable nite, starting with a refreshing gazpacho and a lovely smoked trout salad. The steak was tender as and the fish was cooked perfectly. The souffle was the last master piece to end the dinner.

Interesting wine list at affordable prices. We found the service to be efficient, anticipating our every need. Overall we left feeling as though we'd had a good dinner.

We had a lovely first time there the other day. The head waitress was approachable and service was good. Food really fresh and inventive lovely for Chatswood business area. I can't understand why it wasn't fuller. Really tasty french food and the desserts were a standout. We will be back soon.

It's good to find an interesting menu and atmosphere in Chatswood and byo. The starter of house smoked salmon and duck main were both great. Not so hot with the leg of lamb. Portion size was good. We don't want to be "supersized". We will be back.

5 of us dined at Rocket for a Birthday celebration and we were all very impressed with our meals and service. Food and presentation were first class. Service was friendly and efficient.
