We were really surprised at the quality of this restaurant considering it was attached to a hotel. Shocked in fact.

Anyone who ordered steaks advised they were done exactly as ordered. Great flavours with all dishes ordered. I had the butterflied garlic prawns and pork fillet normandine. Loved it.

Service was very friendly and casual. A little stilted but we were one of only 2 tables that night. Needed some music but other than that no complaints. Wine list kind of Ok and decent prices.

Service is good, people are friendly. Food served cold that night since it's winter can't complain much overall it's okay.

We enjoyed an overnight stay in Wisemans and dined at the Riverbend Restaurant. A great little find because its only 1 hr from our home but we feel like we have been away. The food was very nice, I had the Smoked Salmon entree and Chicken Breast Mignon for mains, my wife had the Garlic prawns for entree and Barramundi fillet for mains.

We wanted to have the sticky date and cheesecake for dessert but were too full to fit it in! Will be back for sure!

Not usually a fan of hotel restaurants but this was a pleasant surprise. I started with a tasty Crispy Chicken Salad, followed by a very tender if fractionally undercooked Lamb Rump and then Pavlova for dessert. These might not sound particularly fancy but they were cooked and presented very well and at $46 set price for three courses was very good value. And at $22 for a nice Rosemount Merlot even the wine list was well priced.

The staff are willing if a little rough around the edges training-wise and you have to ask them for a little space or they'll try to rush you through fairly quickly. Bookings are taken for half hourly times, so you can book for 1830, 1900, 1930, 2000 or 2030.

I should add we had breakfast here the next day and was again very pleased with an above average offering. So whilst cannot rate the rooms at this resort very highly I can compliment the food and recommend it for guests and passing trade.
