We are hosting a Bollywood Party Night on 1st November, includes large screen projection of Bollywood & English Music Videos, Bollywood dancers, Belly Dancers, DJ playing Retro, Bollywood etc.. dancing till 1 am in a night club setting.

Overview
Situated in the heart of Parramatta, on the Banks of the Parramatta River, next to the Jetcat Terminal, The River Canyon Restaurant is a modern Australian restaurant, set in a casual relaxed, yet smart and trendy atmosphere.
Our food is moderm Australian, stylish with great european flavours To ensure premium quality, only the freshest ingredients are used. Our menus are designed to satisfy all tastes and can be modified to suit special needs. To compliment our already outstanding menu, that includes vegetarian & gluten free dishes, we also have two & three course set menus
The restaurant features a spacious main dining room with good heating in winter and full air conditioning in summer. In addition, River Canyon has a two terrace garden outdoor smoking areas which seats 20 in comfort for private or romantic dining, we have a fully licensed bar.
The Live Entertainment on stage with dance floor and with the addition a big 3 metre screens important live events can't be missed. We also host large functions, corporate and conference groups as well as group bookings, birthdays etc dress smart casual

We went with a group of 15 friends; this is one of the better restaurants in Parramatta. Food was well presented and quick, friendly service, worth a try. We will be back again.

Very average and poor quality food, service and ambience ok, but all the rest is a rip off we will never get back there.

I took up the special offer and was really disappointed. The staff did not know about the special at all. They asked us if we wanted course two or course three... not both as the offer stated.
We had 3 different people waiting on our table, and we were asked repeatedly the same questions by each of them. The food was ok, except what tasted like microwaved frozen veggies with the barramundi. I would not recommend this restaurant at all, and I now understand why the place was empty.

Don't go while these new owners are there. I took 2 tables of 7 people = 14 people and we were ripped off! They tried to overcharge on the bill plus didn't give the 25% or $50 per table discount despite handing them the form with this on it and tried to change the menu on us. This lacks integrity!
Pity as the River Canyon has held a pre-eminent reputation in Parramatta for many years. As some in our party said just before leaving: "If this is the new standard for the River Canyon then the new owners (as we suspected they were-now confirmed) will not last 3-6 months! For word travels!" Rev Colin Murdoch who has been bringing small, medium and large groups to Parramatta restaurants since 1986.

Hello Diane,
My staff & I served your group on this night, and you had the eatability offer, and you opted for the 3 course dinner for 35$. The offer clearly states that you cannot take 2 offers at one time. You already got a fantastic deal for $35, and on top of that you cannot expect us to give you another 25% OFF. You should read the details clearly before putting in writing.
Your guests were asking for $3 wine by the glass, you have to understand we are not a cheap cafe, this is a very fine diining establishment, and we have to pay $18,000 rent a month. So please do not compare us to your local pizza place; inspite of this, we gave some wine to your guests for at a reduce price for $5
We did not try and change the menu, it is because we were busy at lunch, and had run out of lamb shanks that was on the menu, so we asked you for a replacement.
We did not over charge you, your original booking was for 16, and the person who fixed the bill, thought it was still the same 16 number. But you did not inform us of people who did not turn up?
Please instead of complaining, why don't you appreciate the good things we did for you on the night. Like your guests enjoyed yourself, by dancing for such a long time to live music.
FYI: This is not the only restaurant this company runs, it owns 4 other successful fine dining restaurant in the City.
