Lunch menu very limited 3 out of 5 dishes were fish, which limited you if not a fish eater. Drinks very expensive and food expensive but very average meal. Too much batter on fish, pork salty. Will never go back!

I organised for a girlie-lunch for 10. It was a superb location with great view. We had such a marvelous time at Ripples. Service was awesome. We were well-looked after by a waitstaff. She made good recommendations on dishes and was helpful with accommodating one of my friends who is a vegetarian. Our wine and water were constantly topped up.
I had yamba prawns w crab cake, green chilli pesto and lemon oil, it was delicious. Confit duck was generous in portion but overcooked and dry. Passionfruit crème brulee was good. The biscuit that came with my cappuccino was delicious. Although the main was a let down, I did had a good time at Ripples and we lunched till 4pm. Parking was a bit hefty.

We came here for a 30th last Sunday. Atmosphere, interior design and decking was really nice! View was awesome! Food was average... had the duck confit... tasted more like chicken... the beef tenderloins was very soft but was bland and tasteless. I had the goats cheese for entree... I couldn't taste anything else besides really strong goat cheese. My partner had the beef carpicco which was delicious! The waitress wasn't around much to pour us our glasses of wine... We thought it would be easier for them to leave the bottle on the table... but she couldn't until service license finished at 4pm. Great family gathering location.

Avoid the famous fish and chips, greasy, hard to eat in a large bowl, over battered.
Do not park in Clifton Gardens like we did. Advised on website to park there during the day, we did so. Paid $18 (for 3 and a half hours stay), walked across the grass, then a short (!) walk along the beach, that was then cut off by water- a wide drainage channel (that, of course, can't be seen from the car park. Had to turn back, drive 20m. around to Chowder Bay Road, on the other side of restaurant, pay another $13 there to park. I blamed the restaurant's blithe web directions on parking, but of course they didn't care, and probably won't change them. Just park in Chowder Bay Road. Weren't the only ones in our group caught. Will never return.

Just had our xmas party at this venue. We were seated outside with amazing views, the service was excellent and the food was great. Everyone of us loved it. If you are looking for a great value restaurant on the beach then this is it. A+

Fabulous location right on the water. Great service and tasty food. We had lunch here on a Saturday (2nd seating) and weren't rushed to leave. It was a perfect way to spend a gorgeous afternoon in Sydney.

Food was above average; nice secluded spot for a restaurant.

Went there on a recomendation feom a friend. Went there for a Sunday lunch for a group of 4. It was a perfect sunny day, and were seated promptly by the attentive staff. My partner and I had the scallops and prawns with crap cake, which were delicious. The highlight for me was the seafood risotto while my partner had the fish and chips which were a little greasy.
One thing to watch out for is the parking meter which is really frustrating. Overall had a great time, with perfect weather. I can imagine on a rainy day it could be quiet uncomfortable. From making the booking to paying the bill customer service was severely lacking, with the most shocking effort from the person that "welcomed" us to the restaurant. Food was served quickly and as always was to a good standard but the experience tarnished with only one offer of drinks during the meal. With all the choices available today and the masses of restaurants I drove past on my way from Surryhills, today's choice was not good!

Food was nothing special - just average. Service quite unfriendly. Wine was lovely. The restaurant itself is very pretty. We went for dinner. I can imagine the view would be much nicer in the daytime and make up for the average service and food.
