What a disaster! This place was terrible - the only good thing about the entire night was the amusement our table shared in regards to the comedy of events that occurred.
We got there and there weren't enough menu's - please share. Then there proceeded to be not enough wine glasses and we were asked to drink red wine out of champagne glasses - what the?? We should have left then, but we soldiered on.
Ordered our meal took over an hour to arrive, prawns cold, overcooked and had to send them back. Pizza served on a wet soggy base... below average food!! Service below average! Would never return.
Went here last night for dinner. We had the Pizza San Daniele, the Calzone and the Gnocchi con Porchini and were all brilliant! The Pizza was one of the best I've tasted in Sydney. Service was great, especially the hot little number named Daniella. The Panna Cotta is brilliant. All made in house. Highly recommended!
I have been here a few times and generally enjoy it. The pasta is generally very good. I sometimes make it from scratch myself and can tell that is homemade. The pizzas are pretty good to as are some of the other dishes, but the menu can get a little repetitive. The gelato is to die for! Good in winter with the wood oven. Has changed name recently to GiGi I think.
Yeah...not bad. It had been hyped up for having great pizzas which just were not that great. Service was awful. I think we must have waited about 10 mins from the moment we sat until they finally brought us glasses for our wine. Not great. Not going to rush back.
Really like the pizzas here - good quality ingredients (leaning towards sparse rather than 'chunky'). Lovely thinner bases. Cute little restaurant and dim lighting make for nice ambience. Take a good bottle of wine and your time.
Pizzas were good, so was the gnocchi. We ate up a storm that night even though it took them ages to deliver our pizza's but we enjoyed ourselves. Dessert was average.
I've only been a couple of times (twice we couldn't get a walk in table because it was booked out!) but I have to say that I really like this place. The pasta is made fresh and is just perfect. Texture and taste was beautiful! The pizzas and salads are pretty good too. Thin crusts. Its a pretty casual atmosphere and the service can be a bit slow so I can undertstand some of the comments below, however, it is not a pricey/silver service restaurant so what more are you expect out of the staff! They are friendly and thats good enough for me! mmmm.... might head to Rippas tonight ... Yum!
Have eaten here a few of times and usually enjoyed it. Casual dining should always be like this - no-fuss, fast service in an attractively renovated space. The pizzas are great and the Italian mains filling. Desserts are worth leaving room for. At our most recent visit, however, service was awful.
Same old menu, nothing seems to change here. Food is average! You are noticed if you're beautiful, will wait if you're not! Could have been a better night, not as authentic as I thought! Pizza was shocking.
