Came for a wedding and was surprised at the menu we were offered, a good choice of mains and starters. Food was far better than most wedding fare and the view across Noosa River great on a warm winter's day. Lovely airy room adds to the place's appeal.

I'm really surprised by such high reviews by other people. I thought the food was really average for the price they charged. I might give it one more go, but overall I felt that we payed a lot of money for fairly mediocre food.

Turf_Tycoon... I completely agree with you. Ricky's never fails. Having first visited Ricky's under its former guise many years ago, I fell in love and it's been a long distance relationship ever since. Ricky's is the first - and last - place I go when I visit Noosa. Luckily for me, that's regularly.
The food is consistently amazing, the service friendly and gracious and do I even need to mention the cocktails? It's all amazing, but then I haven't yet factored in the atmosphere. This place is a winner.

(review based on October 2007 visit and many over previous years). I have very high expectations of this place from my past visits and I was not disappointed.
Always nice to start with a cocktail. These days it seems they've stopped doing so much tapas which was a bit of a disappointment. My wife and I both fancied the blue swimmer crab spaghettini and a few mouthfuls into it I was moved to say "this just might be the best bowl of food I've ever eaten".
So simple but so tasty and fresh, the crab was sensational. Finishing with one of their affogato's is always a happy ending. The legend lives on for me, it's not at all over-priced for what it consistently delivers.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing lunch but it does not justify the arrogance of the staff and senior staff. We've been to much fancier and pricier restaurants where the food was in another league but the service was still friendly and down to earth. Could not understand why they thought so highly of themselves at this place.

Beautiful experience overall. We were return guests from Brisbane but I'm not sure we would visit again, might try somewhere else. The food was superb, the scenery and outlook stunning but the service was not as good as last time. We had booked for our anniversary and asked to be seated at the same table as last year. We booked more than 6 months in advance but none of our requests were noted, and they certainly had no idea it was our anniversary.
Also, after paying our bill, we became invisible, although still sitting in their bar area and requiring another drink, and a cab to be called. I tried 3 times to get someone's attention. Staff at this time were busy joking around in the kitchen and talking on the phone, so we didn't order our last drink, rang the cab on our mobile, and walked out through the front door, without a sideways glance from staff. Remember this is a 5 star restaurant with prices to match. Service definitely slipped from last year.
