We ate here on a Tuesday night and found the food to be very good and we had an enthusiatic young waiter who made a few suggestions. We shared a mushroom entree and I had veal done with tomato, capers olives and herbs and my partner had lamb rump in a red wine jus with rosemary. Everything was very nice and reasonably priced.

I don't understand some of the comments below. This restaurant is consistently good everytime we go. Why do others experience such poor food and service when we don't? Are they comments from real customers or are they opposition making mischievious trouble for this fine restaurant?

Anyway we went on Saturday night for an important family occasion and once again we were stunned by the service and the food. It is the best in this district by a million miles!!!! One of our group is a big city restaurant person and he commented that he has never had a better seafood pasta so where do the negative comments come from? Good work Rialto of Epping. Keep up the standard and ignore the false comments.

The tiramisu here is the best I have ever had. Friendly, attentive and courteous wait staff and the chef too. I have enjoyed every dish I have had here, and come regularly. Well done Rialto!

I came to Rialto with friends who come here regularly. They love Rialto and now I know why. We were with a group of 8 and from the moment we sat down it was great.

We had crust and dips and brushette to start while we were looking at the menu which was recommended by our waitress, Lisa. Our entrees were to say the least fantastic. I had the mussels and it was a big portion for an entree, my friends had the octopus, stuffed mushroom and the antipasto. Everyone loved them. Lisa came back and asked if we wanted a break or if we wanted our main, which was nice because I needed the break so I could fit my main. It was nice to be asked and not rushed.

Our mains were great, I had the fillet mignon recommended by Lisa and it was mouth watering and cooked to perfection. My friends also thought their mains were great. We even managed to fit in dessert and coffee. Try the creme caramel and the creme brulee. YUM!

Overall, I think this place is great, the staff are attentive and friendly. The food is great and I look forward to returning. Thank you Lisa and staff for a great experience at your restaraunt.

I went to this restaurant based on some decent reviews here and like the previous reviewer I can't understand why there are high ratings for this restaurant. Came as a table of 8. Service very slow towards end of night, had to keep asking for refills of water.

Entrees: ordered garlic and herb bread, flavourwise quite commendable but each slice was overly toasted and too crunchy. One serving of garlic prawns was ordered, I didn't taste this but it was a very very small serving (just larger than tapas sized) for $18.

Mains: we were well aware beforehand that mains did not come with sides, the meat dishes came with a bed of very very creamy (not much potato) mash that was a bit too sloppy in consistency. Veal, the two that were ordered were cooked a little dry, not much flavour in the meat itself and both drowned in a large pool of sauce that was a bit too sour and too watery in consistency.

Chicken, texture was okay but also drowned in sauce. Duck, didn't taste fresh, texture was soggy, skin was very soggy, orange in the sauce tasted like artificial orange flavouring. Pizzas, very ordinary, the pizza base was a bit soggy also. The supreme pizza had anchovies which didn't seem very fresh and made the whole pizza very fishy. The tropicana pizza was okay. Assorted seafood dish, seafood tasted rather plain, also drowned in a tomato based sauce. Served with bread but not too much of a fan of the sauce.

Desserts: the tiramisu didn't have enough sponge, no liquer, very dry, too much mascarpone. Creme caramel tasted like the one at the supermarket (which tastes okay). Not recommended. Very disappointing.

The food at this place could not have tasted worse in my opinion. For an Italian joint, the food slightly resembled the aromatic falvours of Italy. The menu, whilst 80% of it consisting of mashed potato was dull and uninspiring. Not sure what type of kitchen staff have cooking in there.

I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca - despite me having to chew on the meat for hours, my tastebuds fail to recieve any taste. My wife ordered the Veal Parmigana - the eggplant was bitter, the sauce was bland and sadly to say, the mashed potato was the only edible thing on the plate. Maybe they should be less concerned about making big portions but more on the quality of food.

We dared, (althought much to our regret) tried the tirimisu. I can't describe the dissatisfaction that my mouth felt. The selection of desserts was disappointing in itself. If you're going to serve bad food, at least redeem yourself by offering decent dessert that we can irradicate the taste of the meal out with.

The service throughout the night was good, the waitresses were very attentive due to it being a busy evening. I'm not quite sure why the pricing is so high, you're certainly not getting value for your dollar. If you have an entertainment card, you might want to give this restaurant a try just to scratch another number of the back of your card, but with its bland, 'rsl' style of food, I would never go back or recommend if you had to be completely pay out of pocket! This place does not deserve the title of a restaurant, it's more of a mediocre eatery.

Had enjoyed a previous visit but this night was a bit disappointing. One of our party received undercooked chicken which was replaced with more undercooked chicken. No sign of any apology. Other mains were OK but not great. Desserts were not what we were led to believe we were ordering. The decor and atmosphere are good but just need to get the food right.

Tried this place again 2 weeks ago. Service, value and ambience were all pretty good but the food still seems very bland.......it's OK, but just not tasty enough to make you want to return here.

Waited too long for food. Service was not acceptable. The tiramisu is tastless. I was hoping to have a great time with friends. How disappointing.

We ordered bruschetta which was disappointing. For mains we had risotto and raviolli. The risotto was the worst we'd ever had and tasted like vinegar and lemon. The raviolli was not fresh and very ordinary, but we ended up shareing it as the risotto was inedible.

We can't understand why there are such high ratings for this restaurant, can only be from family and friends. Very disappointing.

We had a table on the top level on a rainy saturday night, restaurant was about 3/4 full. Waitress was very friendly and very good. Menu has a good range of pasta, pizza, chicken and veal dishes and very fairly priced, everyone was very happy with their meals. For a local restaurant prices are just right and food is on par with any city rival. We sat talking uninterrupted while staff closed up downstairs, a nice change from being urged to leave.
