Great value! 4 hour cruise, large serves of good food, and thoroughly enjoyed the Cash on Delivery Johnny Cash Tribute Show! If you like Johnny Cash don't miss it! We will be back!
Went on the "Salsa and Comedy cruise" for a Hens night. It was entertaining but really wouldn't go again. The buffet was average, something you'd eat at a friends party held at home. Not of restaurant quality though, but didn't really mind. The comedy act was entertaining, but a little offensive to some of the ladies on board. My friend was sea sick, so it kept her mind off it. The dancers were fantastic, and we even had a lesson with one of the dancers.
By 9.30 we were already quite bored, music was average. Had a little dance. Was glad that it ended at 10.30 instead of 11:30. I suppose it was a disappointment for others who were expecting it to end at 11.30 instead. This is something that everyone should try at least once!
I took a group of friends for the N.Y.E party for what meant to be a night to remember. It was the most embarrassing event I've ever attended in Sydney. A total flop from food through, especially service, and music. No plates on the table (we had to use tissues), dirty toilets, no dance floor. Scruffy DJ. Third World standard. Would not recommend to anyone.
This is one of our regulars when we travel to Sydney for a night in the Big Smoke. It's the best you can get in Sydney for good comedy and if language may offend there's always My Fair Lady Showing and I guess with comedians you often have to take what you get. Some are great, others not so and some are crappy but hey...upstairs you can take your dinner which we have always found to be really nice, and watch the harbour lights.
Then do some dancing with the breeze and the lights of Sydney as the Salsa music emanates from below. For a lousy $70 this is a great night of fun. I would recommend to everyone, it is really great value all around.
Our company attended the Rhythmboat for our Xmas party and was very disappointed with what we received. The lead up comedians were great but the main comedian was offensive and numerous members of the audience got up and left the room during his performance. The food was well below par and even though the staff were attentive this didn't save the cruise from being a complete waste of money.
Our company sent the company 2 letters of complaint and after 7 months not even an acknowledgement was received or apology. Strongly do not recommend.
My wife and I had an excellent time on Friday Night (22nd June). We went on a much-needed night out on the Comedy Cruise. Big Brother and Little Brother were excellent (she bought the CD!)...everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. My wife was also very impressed with the female singer and male guitarist from the Hot Banana. Despite some technical difficulties toward the end of the night (generator problems which by the way was quickly rectified in a flash), everyone had great fun! Thanks for the great value! One constructive feedback, we were expecting a table for two, so prepare yourself for seating of ten.
Good for group nights though or if you don't mind mingling with others (which we didn't). Also, if you end up sitting on a seat facing the other direction (i.e. not facing the stage), make sure you turn your seat around during the comedy part so that you can be comfortable (we were lucky enough to be both facing the stage). We will visit again on another special occasion and will recommend it to our friends.
Food is pretty bad not much else I can say about it. The comedy is not too bad considering the comedians are no-names. It's not bad if you go in a group but I probably wouldn't go back.
The boat is very clean and well cared for. The service was great with very attractive staff willing to please. The muscular captain of the vessel with the three gold stripes on his shoulders was very informative about Sydney Harbour it's rich history.
The very funny and comical Cruise Director "Big Al" was great giving us personal service with a big smile. He compared the night for a while as well as instructing us on how to dance the Salsa and rhumba. Best Lamb rack I've outside the Greek Islands. I don't know how they can get it all together for such a reasonable tarif.
Will go again with some friends on a Christmas Cruise Special. The boat is made for dancing as it it not cramped like the skinny ferry type boat. Loved the night. We are going to have our Nurse's Xmas party on the water this year.!!!!!
