This is place I would always go back to. The food portions are generous, tasty, good value for money. Highly recommended if you love meat in large portions! Much better value compared to other more popular German restaurants but serving the exact same things. I always order the pork knuckle, if you don't get to finish it, you can always take the rest home so there is no wastage.

The service is attentive but not over bearing. They come when you need them but don't hover over you when you want to be left alone.

The decor/interior is a little aged, but has its own charm to it. The walls could do with a clean but didn't bother me too much.

I've been here a number of times now. Some nights, they could be so busy you won't get a table if you didn't book ahead. And other nights you could be one of two groups in the restaurant. I've experienced both scenarios but each time the food has been amazing.

You will never regret a night at The Rhinedorf-the on tap Erdinger weiss is awesome-mixed cold selection plate is fresh and tasty, the pork knuckle-Omg the taste is as good as the Hofbrauhaus in Munich. Go there you won't regret it. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and my friends and I had a great time there. I recommend having the giant pretzel as a side snack. The pork knuckle is unforgettable but make sure you have a lot of people with you to get through it all.

Good tasty food. Value for money. Make sure you go when you are really hungry as the pork knuckles aare huge! Always a great meal out.

My family used to go the Rhinedorf about 15 years ago, and last night we decided to go and see if it was still good food. It was stepping into a time warp - menu still the same, decor the same, and the food still as fantastic as ever. Yes the restaurant is looking a little tired and the meals are not presented piled up in the centre of the plate with fancy garnishes, it is was it is - homely, tasty comfort food. There was also a great atmosphere once it started to fill up. German music, steins served at the bar and plenty of big groups laughing and having a great time. Perfect food for the winter.

Food was terrible I ordered herring salad and it had no herring in it, the waitress said more people complained about not having herring in their herring salad that evening. Sausages I ordered for main were all different and the worst oldest and most dried out disgusting sausages I ever had in my life.

Kransky from coles cooked in a microwave for 1 minute would be perfection compared to that. And Germany is famous for its sausage. Very disappointing. And asian waitresses in a German restaurant is just as good as the Indian cook in one of the Polish restaurants in Sydney.

I have been many times and this is one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to. The food is amazing, especially the pork knuckle. The presentation is amazing. The price may be a bit on the high side but you won’t be disappointed with the quality and amount of food you get. The desserts are also excellent and very pleasing to look at. This is a restaurant that is very traditional and has an amazing atmosphere.

The food was bit hit and miss, but the selection of desserts was very tasty and hard to decide, we had 2 and both were very nice.

Food is great, service is very good, abit pricey but you pay for a good meal, if you visit this place make a booking otherwise good luck getting a table well worth it.

Can't really fault the place. I've been at least half a dozen times over the past few years and still enjoy the evening. Food is tasty but heavy in true traditional German style. Serving portions has decreased a little, but that's because the portions in the past were huge. Good over all value for money. I would recommend anyone to go and try it at least once. And for the men, you can't go past the pork knuckle!
