I too was a fan of Red Spoon, of late the service and food has dropped. Would not recommend take away as they give you very small servings. Too much choice around to be treated poorly, won't be back.

We ordered the luxury banquet. Servings were generous and service was quick. However, imo, the food's not true-thai: our spicy dishes weren't hot at all. Standout was the crying tiger, that was nicely barbecued. The restaurant looked funky but a bit dark.

I was a big fan of Red Spoon and have been a regular for some time now. Unfortunately, my patience has run out with the non-existent service one receives now and the fakeness that quickly dissappears as soon as the waitresses realise their is a problem with a meal and there is going to be no tip. Its a shame, as I do like the food. However, the last 3 experiences have been unpleasent, with the last experience just absolutely awful. I kept returning hoping the bad experience was a one off, but no more chances for Red Spoon. Until management sort out their service issues, I won't be coming back.

A few friends and I ordered a couple of stir fry's, laksa and curry puffs from Red Spoon to take away on a lazy friday night and let me tell you, the food was Amazing. I ordered the prawn chilli basil stirfry (which is my favourite dish) and the flavour combination was just right. I will return to Red Spoon again and again.

Food is just ok. Massamun a bit bland not impress. Pad thai is ok. Ambience was pretty good. This is a kind of Thai food that you can find from Sydney nowadays. Good decoration, good presentation but the food were just OK. Seem they don't care about the taste more than the look. You know what? I will come back any way.

I had eaten at Red Spoon on several occasions and totally loved it and told my friends all about it. Hadn't eaten there for a while though, and tonight ordered take away for my family only to be totally and utterly disappointed.
The food took a very long time to come although the restaurant wasn't busy, and even though I still enjoy the taste of the food, it was tiny servings for all the dishes we ordered. Sorry to say, but I felt completely ripped off and disappointed with the size of the portions.
Red Spoon has lost a return customer and this customer will be spreading the word to my friends again, only this time to say not to bother going back there! Don't waste your time and money going there. It's not as good as it used to be.

Tonight (Sunday) we decided to go to Red Spoon to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. There is no indication how to open the door and had to be assisted by a waitress. We booked a table prior but when we got there there was no booking for us?
On being seated we were given a table near the door, which was constantly opened and closed. This was a freezing cold night and despite our complaints to the waitress, nothing was done by way of moving us or putting the heater on which was over the doorway.
We received our only entree quite quickly and then waited over an hour for 3 stir-fries!! My meal was the first to arrive but was wrong and had to be returned. The other 2 meals did not come until mine was redone. We all ordered noodle dishes and wondered where the noodles were. I think I had about six mouthfuls of noodles to go with 6 prawns which cost nearly $20.
The other 2 dishes were equally lacking in noodles and all 3 meals were incredibly small for the cost. For over $70 this was a very disappointing meal out and we will never be going there again or recommend it to anyone.
Only thing Red Spoon has going for it is the look of the place. That's where it ends. Food is expensive, and very small servings for the money.

Great place for a cheap, tasty, lunchtime meal. Service is usually pretty quick, although it can get busy. Usual choice of curries and noodle dishes, nothing out of the ordinary but all proficiently done. The decor is quite dark, which can be pleasant on a bright summer's day but a little depressing in mid winter.

We went last night with a couple of Spreets vouchers that we purchased. It started off very poorly as once we were seated, they pretty much forgot about us and didn't come to take our order until we flagged them down.
The entree we had was nice (crab dumplings) and we had the duck special and panang chicken curry for main. The duck was nice but very fatty and the panang curry needed salt. We then had the chocolate pudding for dessert which was ok but nothing to really write home about.
The front door of the restaurant was kept locked so everytime a patron came, they couldn't get in unless they were let in! Very odd and we're not sure why they did that. Not a good way to invite customers into the restaurant.
All in all, it was an ok experience, but they really need to lift their game in terms of service.
