Love raw bar, one of our favourite family haunts, fresh quality japanese beach with a view of bondi beach, what more can u ask for. Not that problematic getting a table, just turn up either around 6ish, or 8ish, when they are ready for the second sittings. Anyway, being busy, gives them that buzzy feel, and is testament to their popularity.

Maybe I went on a wrong day but I don't get it.

It had been recommended by my city dwelling friend and as a lover of japanese food I had to go. The service was good and the ambience was Ok. My partner and I ordered few dishes and they were mostly fresh and tasty but not to an extent of recommending it to a no-local friends to go and eat. Japanese is such a hard cuisine to be great with, I know.

Wow! What a great night at Raw Bar! We didn't mind waiting for our table since it was jammed packed, food was delicious and the service was even better! The cocktails we had were amazing and we highly recommend the cucumber saketini. Can't wait to come back!

Seriously bad service. After being told a table will be available in 10 minutes, we waited over 50 minutes while we watched our empty table get slowly cleaned. Service went downhill from there with slow ordering, no smiles on the waiters and loud (weird) music. The food was OK but the whole experience just wasn't worth it. With so many other choices in Bondi, this place is just not up to scratch.

Just been back to Raw - it is quickly becoming our favorite weekend lunch venue - great location - great food & friendly service with managers Carl & Ben always ensuring you are happy with everything... Quality of the Japanese is very good (we rate the food & we know good Japanese having eaten at Nobu etc etc in Hong Kong). We would thoroughly recommend you visit Raw / relax & enjoy in one of the best venues in Australia - the Bondi Beach!

Service was the worst I have ever experienced in Sydney. I committed the cardinal sin of sitting in a seat without waiting for direction from staff. The maitre de promptly advised me of his position, i.e. "I am the Maitre D". I was then directed to sit on the council bench facing the restaurant "for 15 mins". During this time we faced an empty table that we were eventually allowed to occupy. Service was slow and inattentive. The food however was nice, the view was nice (over the busy road there were glimpses of ocean). Overall this would be a lovely place to dine, except for the precious attitude of the staff.

This place has come a long way in the past few months. The service used to be very poor, but it seems they have turned over a new leaf, and their standard of service has come way up. This has definitely become my favorite place for Japanese food in Bondi!

Good food, good service. But they are still applying a Sunday surcharge which has now been illegal for over a year. When questioned the management "played" dumb, and still presented the bill with the surcharge. Leaves a very unpleasant taste in the mouth after a good meal. Won't be going back.

Good little restaurant. Went here in a freezing cold night and sat outside. The heaters were put on for us and we were given lap blankets. The service was very good, attentive without being over the top and informative. The food was highly delicious but not quite the best Japanese we have had.
