I brought my visiting aunts here, and I couldn't have paid for a more stunning sunny winter day, on the balcony with sweeping ocean views, eating fine food and great wine. The entire experience was a delight. The food was excellent especially the mezze.
My wife and I went here for Sunday lunch and I must say we were very disappointed. The service was slow and impersonal. We ordered some bread as soon as we got to the table and it was delivered after our mains. The staff assured us that we would not be charged for it, which we still were.
On the positive side the food was quite good, potentially a little over-priced, and the location is great. I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to recommend eating here, there are better options in the area.
After we were seated, took forever to catch waiter's eye for drinks and to order food which was very average. Had 3 mouthfuls of prawn pasta and left it, they did not enquire what was wrong with it. Waitress that delivered bill did not even look at us. Then went to Drift bar which had nice atmosphere, our drinks ordered from waitress never came, no apology when I went to bar. Like downstairs bar but wouldn't bother with the rest.
We went here for lunch on our wedding anniversary as walk in customers. Right from the beginning we were attended to and this continued for our 3 hour duration.
Food was fantastic. The waiter Angus was extremely attentive but not in an invasive way. When our main meals were delayed, we were apologized to and brought complimentary bread without us saying a word. The atmosphere was relaxed and we had a lovely afternoon. The dark chocolate creme brulee was delicious.
We had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch having arrived without a booking. We had walked from home for about one hour to Bondi Beach and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals, wine and service. Our meals were beautifully presented modern cuisine and delicious. The food was reasonably priced especially in such a wonderful atmosphere looking across to the beach. We will definitely be back.
I went here for brekky for the first time a few weeks ago.. Of course I have been there for bevies many times (to the meat market as I like to refer to it as....)
The food really surprised me actually! It was fantastic and we had a brilliant breakfast.
The people at my table had: Sourdough with Eggs and Salmon, the breakfast barra with the Potato cake - which apparently was amazing. I shared the rye toast and a serve of fruit and museli and I have to say, for such a standard type meal, it was amazing!!!!
I recently stayed at Ravesi's hotel for three days on a business trip and just wanted to write a quick word about how satisfied I was at the service I received there. I was greeted and remembered every day by the staff in the restaurant, at the hotel reception and even in the foyer bar. I travel for work quite often and I have become accustomed to all kind of service in hotels around Australia, but of these Ravesi's deserves special mention.
I had a duck salad here once that was on the specials menu that I enjoyed incredibly.
Also they used to do a salad Nicoise that I try to replicate unsuccessfully. Staffs have always been professional and knowledgeable and the vibe has always been fabulous!
Had a lovely relaxed afternoon here. Entrees were a highlight, everyone enjoyed these the most. We had a great table on the balcony overlooking Bondi beach. Mains were tasty, hearty and moreish. Desserts were also generous and very sumptuous. Highly recommended for a relaxed lunch.
This place seemed very nice at first. However, they were not letting any Asians in. The drinks were pretty good with responsive service. However, there was a certain privilege. Aged crowd which was given priority to the point of unpleasant. Overall, the atmosphere was good.
