Overview of Raval

Raval is located on top of Sydney’s Macquarie Hotel; a live music venue, micro-brewery, pub and boutique accommodation that is Heritage listed in NSW. Established August 2009, Raval incorporates a gorgeous 100 capacity 1920s styled cocktail bar, a restaurant specialising in gourmet pub food, a conference room and a live music venue all with state of the art facilities to house bands’ concerts, artist showcases, private functions and formal sit down dinners.
Raval has played host to some of the country’s best and highest profile acts including Eskimo Joe and internationals like New Orleans legend John Cleary and many more. Its intimate surroundings make it ideal for up and comers, bands in need of superb acoustics or larger acts wanting to cater for more secret, personal performances such as label showcases or fan shows. Every Friday night, Raval operates as a cocktail bar with Sydney’s best DJs providing the soundtrack for the ideal start to your weekend, whether you’re nestling in for the long haul or warming up with pre-drinks and a bite to eat. With a suitably stocked bar featuring some of the most exotic liquors and top-shelf pours, this is a drinker’s delight!

    Basically the food was well below par. I ordered fish and chips and while the chips were nice enough, the fish was so gross I felt ripped off. I paid enough to expect quality food but it just didn't come.
