I have dined at Rashays many times over the years and last night was definitely my last.

The quality of food and service has taken a very deep dive from what it used to be. Rashays used to be a trendy place for gen X & Y to dine and catch up with friends. It is now full of families with young, screaming, crying children. It is ridiculously loud, the tables are in very close proximity and the place has no ambience what so ever. Management have adopted the quantity over quality approach, ie get people in, feed them as soon as possible and get them out. This means that the majority of food is premade and microwaved which you can taste.

We ordered the chicken strips for our entree. The food came out less than 5 minutes from ordering and they are no longer hearty chicken strips, they are tiny pieces of microwaved chicken. Our mains, the beef nachos and rashays chicken came out 3 minutes after we received the entree, a total of 8 minutes after ordering!

Although some people would say not to complain when food is delivered so quickly, it rings alarm bells for me. The beef and chicken were both luke warm and had the very obvious microwaved taste. The sauce on the chicken was hotter than the chicken itself and the mashed potato was the horrid instant kind. No food comes out of the kitchen luke warm, unless ofcourse it has been microwaved.

We had to get the attention of a passing by waitress to ask for the menu for dessert. She looked at us like we were inconveniencing her. It took another 15 minutes to get the attention of another waitress to order dessert. Their chocolate sundaes are no longer traditional chocolate sundaes, they are 3 scoops of home brand vanilla ice cream in a bowl with milo sprinkled on top.

We felt robbed when the bill came to $75 for one entree, 2 soft drinks, 2 mains and 1 dessert. $75 for microwaved food? I think not.

Save your money for somewhere else at Campbelltown. The same prices but the quality of food is a world apart, you can hear yourself speak and the service is much more personalised.

It is such a shame because Rashays used to be a quality dining experience. Management need to realise they are losing business and their reputation with their current methods.

I really love the creamy mushroom sauce, meals are not badly priced and the kids love the way the staff interact with them.

My meal was average. I had the Rashays Chicken with mushroom sauce. Unfortunately they did not time all of my meal components too well, as the wedges on my plate arrived cold. My partner had one of their pizzas which looked OK. I felt that the meals were a bit pub style. I found it very difficult to get the attention of staff to order my meal. The restaurant was very loud, all of the walls are glass, it was a little hard to hear conversation. On the whole, an OK place for a quick meal, but certainly not fine dining. I will not be going back in a hurry.

The food was awful, we ordered from the lunch menu 2 schnitzel and chips which didn't even taste like chicken schnitzel and was so tough and dry that I ended up with a migraine for the rest of the day from chewing through it, 3 barramundi and chips with one of the servings of fish being not even big enough for a toddler to consume we questioned whether it was really barramundi as we are fishermen ourselves and know quite a lot about fish, the drinks were very well served in size and the service was good, the decor is very modern and welcoming but it's like a cave effect and it becomes extremely noisy and echoey, I wouldn't go back there again, ever.

The atmosphere is a little cold and stark, with the glaring lights and there are no heaters inside which isn't good for cold nights. Although the staff weren't very attentive, when you did catch them they were nice and helpful. My friend and I received our food quickly, it was just as you would expect from this style of cafe. The food was fresh, simple and tasty. I had the barramundi with chips and salad and my friend had he Rashays starter (all deep fried goodness), we finished off with tea and a brownie. All up it was a reasonable meal at a reasonable price and yes, we'd go again for sure. My friend had been a regular for a long time.

What a waste of time and money. $50 for an average lasagne and barely passable seafood marina. Shame shame shame.

Had dinner here last week. Ordered herb bread, two rashay steaks, kids serve of chips, coffee and mud cake. The mains of steak were not fresh or tasty at all, they were barely warm. One main was order with chips and salad but both arrived with mash and veges. The mash and veges were hotter then the meat. We definitely won't be ordering that again. I have a feeling the meat was precooked and then slightly reheated before serving, not nice at all.

We do dine here occasionally and have never had a problem and food has always been good but we left quite disappointed last week.

Went there with friends on wed night, two of us both ordered the grilled chicken. Just before we ate half our meals, I found a hair on my plate, and the same with my friend. To make things worse, the hot drinks came out 20 minutes later, I waited 30 minutes to get a simple hot chocolate and the orders were mixed up. Staff are great most of the time. other than that, I prob won't be going back for a long time. The upside is that the food and drinks are cheap.

Not a bad meal, nothing special, couldn't believe the smoking area where there were children eating, wouldn't happen in Melbourne any more.
