I've been to this place many times and every time we have had a mixup with meals, or meals don't get sent out. 2 or 3 times we ordered dessert to follow our main, and had to wait up to an hour after we finished our main for it to come out. When we asked what had happened none could tell us, they forgot.
Each time I went there meals were not brought out at the same time, by the time I got mine my brother had finished his. I have bad things to say about the service but the food is normally ok, pub food. Although, the last time I went the vegetarian nachos were terrible, the waitress went to tell the chef but never returned to our table, instead she just avoided us. Could be a nice place, if the service were better.
Meals are well price and good servings but more often there is some sort of mix up with the service if you are with a group meals never arrive together or starters, turn up with mains just little things to bugger what could be a top place very loud and open but it is a pub.
I have eaten here many times & never had a bad experience. Meals are enormous - great value. I disagree with comments that it's noisy - it does have carpet and therefore is a lot less noisy than many other pricier establishments I have eaten in. Keep up the good work guys.
You can order on the pub side or the restaurant side of the brasserie.
The pub side seems to be cheaper for the same food. Really can't go past the hot roast roll with gravy and chips for just $4.50! This massive plate of food is enough to feed both myself and my fiancee! The roast is beautifully cooked too.
On the restaurant side the prices are still reasonable. With mains ranging from their $6.50 roast of the day to barramundi for about $28. I have never had a bad experience with the food here and have been about 10 times.
Try their cocktails priced at about $10 they are gorgeous..toblerones and strawberry daquiris are to die for!
Generous sized meals and good value for money. Flavours are nothing to get excited about but I do enjoy their nachos. Not an intimate bistro at the best of times, be prepared for lots of drinking and noise!
Not a bad little place to grab a bite to eat for a pub but it's still pub food..plenty of better places to eat a nice dinner at similar price. The bistro is great value compared to restaurant especially for a quick lunch, drinks are reasonable however.
I will start by saying this is not a restaurant, it is a bistro at best. After ordering our meals we took a seat, the only seats available as it was packed. This being the case we thought we were in for a treat. My pasta dish tasted like the pasta was cooked the day before and reheated tonight, the burger came without sauce even though it states that its their own sauce.
Entrees turned up at the same time as mains. All 7 people on my table agreed it was one of the worst places we had ever been to. I will add that the lady serving the roasts was very helpful as we tried to fix our problems.
The food here is quite good pub food and pretty cheap. The five dollar steak is awesome! although my boyfriend waited 45 minutes for his and when he asked why it was taking so long they had no idea he had ordered. Apart from that it's a pretty good local for a few drinks. The bouncers are extremely and unnecessarily forceful and even violent.
The chefs here really know what they are doing, the menu is aimed at the people in the local area, with a few fancy things to keep us excited, I have never had a bad meal here, the only other thing I could say is that they could do with more screening to make it a bit more intimate and less cafeteria like.
