    2 Not Recommended

    Food  2      Ambience  3      Service  2      Value  1

We jumped in to have quick bite around lunch hour on a Saturday. After being greeted politely and seated, we asked specifically about whether the meat served there was Halal (Kosher). The waiter/ cashier understood the terminology we used and kindly advised us that it was not. This being so, we chose to stay and order the vegetarian options from the menu.

Choices were limited to about 2. Nevertheless, we ordered the vegetarian Spring Rolls and went with the recommended special for the day (deep fried fish with egg and rice). While waiting patiently for our food to arrive, we watched 2 youngsters run around, play with the water feature and also listened to them being disciplined by the same gentleman who took our orders. The long wait for the food was then followed by the discovery of mince-like particles in the vegetarian spring rolls, a quick check of the filling led us to inquire about its contents. We were told that in fact we had been served the Wrong spring rolls which contained meat. Something we made clear that we cannot consume to meet religious obligations.

We received little consolation, although were not charged for the spring rolls, we received an apology with a measley explanation that the kitchen staff was new to the job. Their little mix ups aren't as little as they think to their customers. They happily took our money for the overpriced deep fried fish and eggs which I personally found to be a less than interesting dish.

I do not recommend this restaurant for people with dietary requirements. They simply do not comprehend or value the importance of meeting their customer requests and requirements.

Very affordable food. Some dishes were delicious, but some others were cold. Excellent, polite service and great decor. Will return.

We were excited to find an Indonesian restaurant has opened up in the area, and we were not disappointed by our visit. The decor at first looks a little sterile, but on closer inspection it is a nice quality, modern finish, and the seats were comfortable.

The food was fantastic. The sate and rendang were both authentic flavours and the other dishes we ordered were delicious too. We even asked the owner whether he had a particular dish that was not on the menu, and he said he'd be happy to have it available if we booked a few days in advance and asked for it at the time of booking. We will be going back regularly.

    4.3 Below Average

We ordered the Nasi Campur (specialty of the house). It's a rice dish served with satay and lots of other condiments arranged around the plain boiled rice. Nice presentation but the condiments have been reheated on microwaved and they taste cold & rubbery (for being left too long on serving plate).

Service was painfully slow (there were only 3 tables including us)!! and it's lunch hour. There was only one girl that runs around taking order, serving drinks etc and the other male staff was reading newspaper on one of the tables closest to the kitchen. His job was only attending the cash register while customers waiting for the poor girl to serve them. Door was wide open so lots of noise from the traffic. Don't think we will come back.
