Review Guidelines and Tips
Eatability is an open forum for users to post their fair and honest reviews on venues. Both positive and negative comments are welcome, however, if you have a genuine complaint with a venue, we urge you to contact the venue directly. In most cases, venue managers value constructive criticism and will be appreciative of your feedback.
When writing your reviews please keep the following in mind:
- Keep your review brief and relevant. There is no strict length on reviews although a good upper limit is around 200 words. Note that we rarely post up single word or single sentence reviews.
- Your reviews must not contain:
- Offensive language, including abusive language, profanities, or hate speech, or harassing, vulgar, or sexually explicit language;
- References to illegal activity;
- Content that contains personal attacks;
- Personal information, such as phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.;
- Messages that are clearly advertising or commercial in nature and do not specifically relate to the subject at hand;
- Content that is not in English (foreign words easily understood by most English speaking people are acceptable).
Finally, please do not create multiple user names to post your reviews on one venue. This type of unfair activity may result in all of your reviews being removed. Also, please keep your email address up to date in case we need to verify details (don't worry, we hate spam as much as you do and will not pass out your email to third parties). The use of a false email address may result in your reviews being removed.
