I can not believe what I have found. I had my daughters Christening here on Sunday. All my guest not stop telling me on our wonderful everything was. My guests could not believe the how much food there was and on how good it was.

The staff looked after us so wonderfully and more importantly my guest where looked after to perfection. The photo's with our daughter with our guest smiling from ear to ear made me so happy that I had my daughters party at Primaluna. Thank you for a great afternoon and a great day.

My wife and I had been keen to try out the offerings from Prima Luna for some time and after eating at a few other local Italian restaurants it was time.

Wow, how we were disappointed. At $19 for the Caprese Di Bufala entree something special was bound to appear at our table, no? We got almost a whole tomato sliced into four and four slices of buffalo cheese with one single basil leaf.

The garlic bread lacked all but the faintest trace of garlic and I had to pour salt over the bread to get any semblance of seasoning. The mains were on the expensive side, especially when you consider the mediocre portion size and very average quality.

As for the ambience, with the big tv's on each wall it felt like I should be hailing the waiter to hand in my latest Keno numbers or horse picks, such was the club like atmosphere.

There are two excellent Italian restaurants just around the corner on Bronte Road, Waverley, of far far far superior quality, price, friendliness and ambience. It's fair to say we will Never return to Prima Luna and I hope that this review is helpful to others in making a decision on where to eat in the area.

Note: This is my first review, moved as I was to ranting by the huge disappointment of this experience.

I thank you maddog for writing this article on eatability rather than coming into the restaurant and telling me personally (There is nothing worse than bagging someone elses restaurant in the hope that people will go else where.) Hopefully yours is better on Bronte Rd.

The TV's are clearly visible from the street as you would know from your visit we have 6 bi-fold doors about 20 meters in lenght and seat around 140 people. The TV's are in full view of our customers. Only a keno player would know to hail a waiters to play some numbers. Good luck in picking those numbers.

PS. I have been in this industry a long time. If you want people to try your restaurant do the hard work and people will come back. Be happy and promote your competitors. My customers could be your customers and yours mine. Nobody likes negativity when going out, be happy and enjoy life. Good luck with your restaurant.

I had the pleasure to be taken to Primaluna for Mothers Day lunch this year. I had the best Mothers day ever! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! They had a wonderful comedy floor show which consisted of various impersonators (the songs were wonderful) and to finish it all off a free glass of Champagne and free chocolates. I'll definitely be back!

Do not order the lasagna takeaway. Wow - what an experience. Ordered a take-away Lasagna for my hungry husband - $16. When I got home I we noticed it 1/3 filled the takeaway container and was about 4 mouthfuls. I rang the shop and the young lady said to come back and get another one saying "I wouldn't be happy with that either". It's not easy to ring somewhere and complain but I really felt I had to, it was $16!

So I got back in the car in the pouring rain, this time the senior staff was awaiting my arrival to pick up another Lasagna to inform me that I had to pay for it, and that size is the normal size, if I want something bigger I should order a Pasta. Super disappointing considering we have just moved in around the corner. Definitely not the way to get repeat customers.

Honestly I'm better off buying a lasagna in the food court at my work in the city and heating it up in the microwave at home. (After all, that's all they did too, heat it up in the microwave). Oh, forgot to mention, it wasn't even nice. Too saucey and no substance.

PS. The young lady seemed quite embarrassed, I felt sorry for her! Her service was fantastic (10/10) but, unfortunately, her senior staff brought my Service rating down to 5.

Had 2 take-away pizzas. Fantastic base and good price. Much better Pizza than all the places around Belmore Rd/Avoca St and cheaper.

Had been to Cellini's once and enjoyed it. This visit was also enjoyable with a few minor points. Seeing oysters kilpatrick on the menu and having not seen it for ages, I looked forward to ordering that. However, at $3 per oyster it was disappointing, very small oysters, and bacon was raw, and didn't seem to have been put under the grill for long. The slow cooked pork was good but there was no hint of any taste at all of the licorice sauce stated in the menu.

The barramundi is bread crust was delicious. Very nice garlic pizza bread and the service was very good. Will come back to try some other dishes but the portions are certainly on the small side. It was noisy due to a large party but it was still a friendly and pleasant ambience.

I was looking forward to eat in this place since it replaced cellini, started with pizza which was great, other than the pizza, everything didn't worth the price, great staff and very friendly. The restaurant has the potential and I hope they improve soon, going to come back for pizza only.

I've only ever had take away, but I have to say the food is not overly impressive. I just think that with such a big space, a new fitout and a great spot - this place has the potential to be fantastic. I agree with the other comments about the food lacking flavour. It just has no wow factor & in my opinion, the tomato base needs to be tweaked. Sorry to sound harsh, but new owner's may want to take customer's criticism on board if they want to survive!

A fantastic local gem, fantastic pizza and pasta. Very authentic, very tasty- and we're very picky. They also home deliver. Friendly service - lovely people. Do not hesitate!
