Worst takeaway I can ever recall trying. The short soup stock tasted like it came from stock cubes, and that was the best part. The calamari was like rubber and the crispy skin chicken in XO sauce was greasy and sloppy.

We have been going to 'Nancy's since we moved to the area in August 1999. Nancy is an excellent hostess and her girls are always dressed neatly, are polite and friendly too. I chose this restaurant to celebrate my recent graduation as it is small and intimate. Would recommend it to anyone as I have never had a bad meal.

We ordered home delivery using the menulog website, and it was disgusting, food was gluggy and luke warm also not cheap, I ordered chow gui tiu which I was told was hot and spicy chicken on a bed or asian greens, well the chicken was a woolworths rotisserrie chook and the green were definitely past their best by date this dish had a sour taste to it eughhh, also ordered prawns and bacon which were 6 medium sized prawns wrapped in a tiny slice of bacon on a toothpick and then placed in white paperbag which was all wet and torn by the time we received it, the san choi bau looked like something that you expect to see in a bathroom not on your dinner plate.

I have given the ambience a 6 just to be fare as we did not see the restaurant also food was delivered on time.

I haven't been back here for years. I remember when we were kids, mom and dad took us here, and the old owners had 2 twin daughters, they were so friendly. These new people, I don't know how long they been here, not friendly at all. She is always on the phone and doesn't bother about thinking that she should serve us.

She talks in an annoying voice and when she talks to you she pretends to smile and as soon as she turns her head its completely the opposite. The food was very average, not fresh and like the other comments below seems like canned food. The price is a rip off and we did not leave a tip. We won't come here again.

My family have been coming to pretty jade (or Nancy's as we call it) since it opened many many years ago. We've been going to many chinese restaurants over the years but always come back as the food is never as good anywhere else. nancy is an excellent host and the food is plentiful and delicious. The deep fried squid in spicy salt is fabulous.

As you can see by the ratings of other reviewers, the service is good and I agree.
I had the lunch special costing $6.90 and the box was big but I couldn't eat it at the restaurant itself, the price was only for take away, how strange! The food itself it was I expected from Australian-ise chinese food. Prices in general on the menu are slightly more expensive than other chinese restaurants. Ambience, it is a very small place but at least its clean.

Living in Kellyville, I thought I'd take my family to "Pretty Jade" since Kings Langley is a measily ten minutes drive. I have to admit that the service fantastic, with the waitresses being very polite and patient. They had no trouble describing and recommending dishes.

The food, however, left a lot to be desired. Being a big fan of AUTHENTIC Chinese cuisine, I was disappointed by the fact that "Pretty Jade" uses canned ingredients for some of its dishes. Adding insult to injury were the small servings, which failed to quell our appetites (which aren't excessive by any measure).

Overall, I really regret my experience at Pretty Jade. It was a miracle that one of the two BBQ chicken shops near Pretty Jade were open!

We're locals as well and it's a nice place to go for food. The food is reasonable but the service is fantastic. Nancy is a really nice hostess and adds a real personal touch to the place, which you never see in larger restaurants. The prices are good, hence the entire value proposition makes this definitely worth checking out.

We are locals and have been eating at Pretty Jade for several years now. Whether take-away, or (especially) dine-in, we have never been disappointed with food or service. Nancy is a neighbour of ours and it is always a joy to chat with her over dinner. The menu is extensive and delicious, as well as the service, always incredibly friendly, efficient, attentive and professional.

The restaurant itself is very small and somewhat dated in decor, but don't let this deceive you.. still very comfy and intimate. Do yourself a favour and check Pretty Jade out. Great value for money and some of the best Chinese cuisine in the Hills district.
