Great lunchbox option. I tried the beef and the kingfish variants, both delicious.

Been to this restaurant many times since it openned. Recently they adapted the Takeru menu which is a good change! The last time I went, I ordered the Chicken Namban Cold Noodles and after finishing half of the dish, I discovered that a piece of the chicken still had red blood bits in it. I asked the waitress to have a look at it. She took my plate and returned few minutes later, giving me options to either remake the dish or just remake the chicken. The waitress is not exactly competent in English so she spoke to us in broken Japanese (think she's Korean). I rejected both offers as I didn't feel like eating anymore. When we walked out of the restaurant, we were charged the full bill. This would have never happened in Japan. A bit disappointed.

Good place for a quick, tasty and cheap lunch. Food is decent and portions are just right.

Such a lovely little place. A good variety of choices on the menu, bright, colourful decor, friendly staff and excellent service. Food's also great!

We have been here a few times. We used to find that ordering the food your self on the touch screens was fun and made it a bit different. But thats has gone now. Food is still very good. The staff are friendly and the furniture is comfortable but an odd combination, as in the chairs don't quite work with the tables, but thats just being picky. Will be back again soon.

I came here on a weekend morning and the place was bright and cheerful. Had the teriyaki salmon with miso soup and rice and it was quite nice in flavour. Can't remember what I drank but there are quite a few varieties to choose from. The decor is clean, bright and furniture appears to be plastic.

Good value set menus cooked to order in a casual cafe setting. I enjoy the japanese cafe menu, something that is common in Japan but few players in Sydney. Service is efficient and friendly and food is satisfying for the price.

I've been to this "cafe" several times now. The Japanese-Western fusions are not too outrageous and the food is always tasty, however the portions are a bit on the smaller size. Also, on a few occasions the Calpis drink I ordered had clearly been diluted with water.

If you are lovers of Japanese curry, I recommend the karage curry rice dish, or even the curry pasta (as unusual a combination that sounds).

We have only been to the café, and not to the sushi bar next door. Ordering can be done on a touch screen or directly to the person behind the counter, which makes ordering quick and easy.

There are man meals that are different to any Japanese restaurant we have been to before. The meals have generous servings and always arrive quickly. The meals that come on a hotplate are good value because they include a salad, rice, and a miso soup in addition to the main meal.

There is limited vegetarian range, and the tofu burger is delicious although erroneously on the touch screen when I was ordering the tofu burger the description said it included a beef patty which upon asking the waitress she said was a mistake. With mains you can order sides including sides of salad.

For such a prime location the food is extremely reasonably priced, but it probably has to be to compete with the food court next door and the atmosphere and dining experience at Poporo’s is much better.

The cafe side is much better, however, I'm not very sure how to rate the service. The service you get practically is from the machine you select your food, the person who you pay and also the person who serves you the food. The salads are very small in portion, there isn't much there, they present it in a way for the portion to look larger. The salads are also very expensive.

The food does come out quick. Customer service isn't that high as after the food is served to you, the waitress hurries back into the kitchen area. The food is presented nicely. The decor is very nice and funky. Will be back.
