My wife and I went for a Thurs soiree drink here and ended up having a great time. The barman (wife thought he was the highlight!) was naturally friendly, helpful and appeared at our table at just the right time. That sort of service you rarely see in Sydney, let alone at a bar. We ordered pizza's as well, and these were top draw. Perhaps the Pinot Gris could do with being revised... but the Monteiths beers flowed well. A funky little bar with an off the beaten track vibe, with a feel of anything goes.

Love it, has such a good feeling about it, great mixed crowd, quiet early in the evening, then picking up later, perfect for a get together with friends. Did I say love it?

This place seems to be the first in Manly to discover the magical medium of presentable staff, welcoming atmosphere and a great drinks selection. Some venues have one or two of these features but fail on others. The Pony Room seems to be at the forefront of bringing a different culture to Manly. The back bar is diverse, they have a range of cocktails served in jam jars, coopers long necks in the fridge with chilled glasses and a decor that is unlike anywhere in Sydney. If I had a hat, I would take it off to The Pony Room.

I really love this place, just because it is not like any other place in Manly. Love the ambience with the cosy lounge and mix-match tables and chairs and it's definitely not a 'meat market' like some of the other drinking holes in Manly. As the other reviewer suggested it is also not too noisy so it's a great place to catch up with friends for drinks. The bar staff are always very friendly and the food is excellent value. The pizza's are awesome, the best pizza bases I have ever had and I also ordered the cheese plate once which was huge.

It was awesome! I went a little bit later on sunday avo and had to wait a bit for the pizza which was a bit annoying but after talking to the owner about it he was telling me that they're in the midst of changing the way they cook their pizza so that they will be able to cook 6 pizzas at one time instead of 4 and that the pizzas will be cooked twice as fast because of some new pizza trays or something.

But I ended up having a great time, I just had a couple more drinks and tried that rose sangria which was actually more potent than I thought but tasted awesome. I'll def be back soon.

This place should be called the Phony Room. We went there for all you can eat pizza for $10. We had to wait 30mins between each slice and as they got busier, they just completely forgot about us. It seemed like every group in the bar was just as upset as us. Plus they fill their jugs of sangria full of ice. The place is a rip off!
