I tried this place after manly's review. His comments were spot on. What gem of a place. Probably the best pool venue in Australia. Fabulous!

The platform cafe inside the Ian Thorpe aquatic centre is just wonderful. Pleasant view of the city, bright and modern with good quality food and great service translates to a relaxing enjoyable experience. Their menu is very appertising and has variety. I had a lovely chicken burger and my partner had a cheese melt that was delicious. They also serve great thai dishes.

I also read in the Sydney Morning Herald that they service the best breakfast in Sydney so I will make an excuse to have a early morning swim next time and try it out. The owner is a great host and makes you feel very welcome. There is a lovely open verandah that takes in the panoramic view of darling harbour. Not only will I be enjoying my swim from now on, as I will also look forward to going to the Platform Cafe.

In conclusion, a fantastic venue with good food and nice atmosphere. Well done to the management.
