If you want evening pizza make sure you call Rio in the morning! They constantly lie about how long it will take sometimes coming 1hr45mins later. They even tried to say the delivery man was already here knocking on the door when I was standing at the door lol.

I redeemed a voucher from Living Social just recently. I was treated very courteously and had no problem. I placed my order and returned 15 minutes later to pick up my food. There was no hassle and now I wish I had purchased more than one voucher! The food was tasty and great value.

This place is terrible. Similar to the previous person's post, I went to this restaurant to redeem a Jumponit voucher. I was told I would have to wait half an hour for my pizza and garlic bread (despite the fact I was the only people there). I left the restaurant and returned 30 minutes later, only for the manager to refuse redemption. When I indicated to him that it had clearly been paid for and was completely legitimate, he swore at me several times, showing a complete disrespect for the business' customers.

If you are thinking of coming to this restaurant to redeem a Jumponit voucher, or at all, don't bother. The staff are rude and there is no understanding of customer service. Pizzeria Rio has no idea how to run a business let alone make pizzas.

Got a paid voucher for this place from jumponit. The voucher specifically states bookings welcome but not required. When we turned up with our voucher the staff were incredibly rude and told us we couldn't use it and that we should have phoned ahead and that it says on the voucher that bookings are recommended, but it doesn't say that anywhere on voucher.

After driving an hour to get here I will certainly never be returning if this is how they treat their customers and their inability to fulfill their own obligations by putting vouchers out there shows their complete lack of management skills.

We were told we could get a pizza if we wanted to wait two hours, there were not even that many people there and plenty of free tables (I wonder if we would have been treated this way without a voucher?) Note that we were also only getting two takeaway pizzas something which should take ten minutes at most, if a pizza place can't handle an order that small then they should just give up now.

Needless to say I will be expecting a full refund for the voucher I paid for and will never return here.

We ordered a takeaway Pizza at 1.30 am New Years Day while waiting for the crowds to disperse, because of the night they had a choice of 4 large pizzas for $17 very reasonable and efficient, we ordered the supreme and it was lovely and fresh and a good size and it only took 15 minutes wouldn't ask for more than that!

Love it here, fantastic pizza and pasta in a cosy cafe with friendly staff. Average here once at least once a week.

Had home delivery for first time from here and this is hands down the best pizza place on North Shore and possibly Sydney. Fantastic quality ingredients. I wanted to dislike the square pizza concept but the bases were perfect, cripsy, not too thick and not too thin. Garlic Cheese Pizza (by which I rate all pizza joints) was fantastic. These pizza's almost taste better the next day. Expect 45 - 60 minutes home delivery but it's worth it. As for previous comment, I lived in Leichhardt for 3 yrs and no pizzas there come close to Pizzeria Rio!

The quality of Rio depends on what you are comparing it to. If you've been to Naples and eaten pizza from Da Michelle, and you expect similar pizza at every pizzeria you are destined for disappointment. By overall Sydney standards, it also doesn't compare to what you can get in Leichard or Haberfield.

However, if you live in the area and want a decent pizza then Rio will probably satisfy. I can't rate the in-restaurant experience as we have only ordered take out, but it is always crowded when we go by in the evenings. An American Living in McMahons Point (who doesn't eat Big Macs or determine value based on volume).

Good pizzas. Good pasta. Its a tiny place so take away is better. Right under the harbour bridge. Good spot.

What a stunning pizza place. Ok tiny area to eat in, and full of foot traffic of those ordering but take your pizza away and enjoy its flavours in nicer surrounds and it is simply fantastic. Very impressive fresh ingredients, and helpful staff.
