We went to Pizzeria e Cucina for a fun dinner for two and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was pumping, it was warm and vibrant inside, the service was extremely attentive, the food was delicious, and the tab was very reasonable. Even if this restaurant were located amongst more competition it would be a winner. I love the fact that we have a stylish, busy and successful restaurant in our midst that is easy to dine in and get a great glass or champers or red, or BYO. Thank you Pizzeria e Cucina!

Uber-chilled local haunt. Bit pricey but good value for the beaches. Gorgonzola and honey pizza at $9 is a homey and yummy yummy starter! Save room for the agrodolce pizza (prosciutto, fig vin otto and walnuts.. amaze) and any of their gnocchi offerings. Mussels in tomato broth with crunchy bread is the perfect after work winter pick-me -up. Fav.

Well what a classic Italian dining experience I enjoyed whilst dining with a group of friends at Pizzeria e Cucina. On entering the restaurant your eye is drawn to the clean, crisp grey and white colour scheme encompassing the beautiful Newport beach feel.

We were quickly shown to our table. Staff were a pleasing mix of both friendly yet professional and we were expertly guided through the delicious specials board.

The food coming from an Italian background was pleasingly authentic. The entrees of gorgonzola pizza, bresaola and buffalo salad were mouthwatering! My main of gnocchi with burnt butter, prawns and sage...simple pleasures. Dessert, favourite was a velvety smooth creme brulee. Hats of to the chefs, pat on the back to attentive wait staff and best wishes to the owners, you've got a winner on your hands! Bravo!

Whether it's a dinner for a group or an impromptu drop-in to sit at the bar because you don't feel like cooking, Pizzeria e Cucina is a favourite local haunt. The best gnocchi gorgonzola going around: home made light-as-a-feather gnocchi with a perfect amount of gorgonzola sauce to complement (rather than drown) the puffs of gnocchi. The walnuts in the sauce add an element of textural surprise.

The linguini ai gamberi surprised this fanatical 'I don't mix seafood and pasta' eater. The linguini is super-light; the prawns succulent and flavoursome; and the tomato sauce just the right amount. As for the desserts, the gelato is hard to go past, and the affogato is well worth a return visit.

The service is superb - see if you can nab the fuzzy haired blonde waitress, she has a brilliant knowledge of wine/food/flavours, and is always in good form - qualities that you don't usually get at a local place. It does get a bit noisy, so be prepared to speak up to make yourself heard amongst your group.

Ate here last night and firstly it has a very homely feel with the open kitchen, lovely wait staff, and generous portions. Our table tried the pizza, pasta, steak, pork belly, fish, and a few different desserts. Couldn't fault a thing, it was all great. Oh, and you're not paying extra for names/labels here and won't get any pretentiousness at all. Makes me raise my eyebrow to overpriced 'rustic Italian' places not too far away on the North Shore.

What an amazing dining experience my husband and I experienced on Tuesday evening at Pizzeria e Cucina. It was our first time at the restaurant and it felt like we were having dinner with family and friends, the atmosphere was relaxed with a beautiful sea breeze, staff were all smiling including the chefs which means the food was prepared with love. Will definitely go back. PS. You must try the gorgonzola pizza and stuffed mushrooms!
