Thought it was a great place to stop and have a great tasting pie. I would highly recommend it.

I have frequented Pie in the Sky for many years and always thoroughly enjoyed the service and food. It has recently changed hands in management and I have to say for the worst. The old staff friendly and the service from them fantastic but the new management tend to be rude and abrupt. The pies I used to recommend to everyone I now would warn people away from due to receiving pies with raw pastry on many occasions. That is to say when there are pies available.
On most occasions there are no pies left very early on the day and when you can get them the selection is not what it used to be. All in all the new management seems to be making what was a fantastic cafe into a cheap takeaway shop with terrible service and barely any food.

Essentially a pit stop for those drivers and riders taking in the sights and twisties of the Old Pacific Hwy. It's a no frills setup with nice, reasonably priced pies and drinks. It does what it does and it does it well.

Awesome place to be if you love driving or riding your much loved cars or motor bikes along the old road of Pacific Highway, great corners to sweep and the pies, pepper and steak being my fav. and fruit pies, yummy to your tummy and friendly staffs especially Emily, James, Pierre....colorful sport cars and bikes decorate the parking lot at times. Wish all the times!

The pies are ok, could be warmer. Nice location, but difficult to find a clean seat outside where the nice view is.

It's "average". It's one of those places that helps break the journey. They don't offer what I would call gourmet pies (quite bland) and the ambience is suitable for bikers (not that there's anything wrong with that). Difficult to find an outside table that is clean, especially the chairs.
It's popular because it breaks the journey, but that's about it. Pies could be hotter and we were disappointed when we bit into our pies. A let down, especially the curry pies which contained sultanas. We like a savoury curry pie, not a sweet one. I guess that's a matter of taste, but we were shocked that they were so sweet.

The service from the young girls there is just fantastic. But there is one that stands out from the rest her name is Emily, she is polite and always smiles and always willing to say hi. I really congratulate Pie in the Sky for employing fantastic staff. So if you see Emily be sure to say hi, good work Emily keep it up.

Not tourist oriented which is great, but competent (albeit pies) food, fabulous coffee and genuine friendly service to match. Unbeatable views over the Hawkesbury. Beats the pants off anything between Sydney and Gosford for a bike or scooter stop. More "grey" than "hoon" oriented.

Went there today 5th July 2008 in the late afternoon, coffee ok passable, beef pie ok obviously it spent a long time in the heated display cabinet, it was just palatable but the beef pieces was excellent. The fruit pies, here we where lucky they where just out of the oven, excellent. BUT the family lamb pie? Yes it was frozen got it home defrosted - then we tasted it and then we chucked it out. It was off way off! So beware!

Great view. My favourite is the lamb pies. We've been trying to try the different pies (and have tried the chicken and beef pies too!) but the lamb is definitely a winner... and so we revert to them often.
The wedges are also very yummy!
