A level above other Vietnamese places. The food is great and the service was fast. It's a bigger place than most other Vietnamese places and the food is cheap!! Admittedly I don’t eat pho, so the rating is based on the broken rice and the entrees I have tried. Out of all the Vietnamese places I’ve eaten this is the best, and I’ve eaten at most places in the Cabramatta area. Worth trekking to come try it out!!
Seriously, if you are looking for Pho that's not too overdosed with MSG, clean looking premises (because let's face it, alot of Pho restaurants aren't of the cleanest quality) then definitely come here. My boyfriend and I have Pho here all the time, even though we are closer in the Parra area.
Service is good, Pho comes out within 5 minutes which is great and they give you a great serving. Recommend the chicken pho too, just as good as the beef! Good value and their loyatly program (eat 5 and get one for free), is perfect for Pho lovers...
This restaurant is not just a Pho restaurant, although it is their specialty, the menu consists of a large variety of Asian cuisine - Vietnamese and Chinese. My first outing there, I had the Pho noodles with rare beef, and it was absolutely heavenly, I had a bit of a cold that day, and the Big Bowl of delicious Pho soup healed me up then and there.
The second time around, I decided to go with the salt and pepper squid with rice, and it was a absolutely delicious, having perfect texture and flavour. The service is excellent, food came out fast, and the surroundings were very comfortable. A large LCD TV shows the latest in Vietnamese entertainment. Overall, a very good experience and excellent food, that doesn't hurt the wallet.
This is one of the restaurants in the area I thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious. I have tried many different dishes from this restaurant and one of my favourites was the sweet sour soup and caramalised fish. When going with a smaller crowd, I would recommend the pho.
I went to the grand opening of this restaurant, and I must admit it wasn't good. food took too long, not enough waiters and bad service. I thought I'd give it another a second shot, seeing how it is 10% off for the month. I took my family there, 6 people for dinner on a saturday night. It was very busy, but the service really improved. We were very well looked after. The food came out within 10 minutes.
We started off with spring rolls and quail and had their traditional dish, which was sour soup steam boat with fish and a fish clay pot dish. The ambience was very nice, the walls had vietnamese paintings and the music was appropriate. Overall, it was great value for money, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic, I would highly recommend it.
The service that I received from Pho Hien was unsurpassed (given the area that it is in). The waitress was quick to sit us down and supply us with tea cups and a pot of tea. We were given a few minutes to peruse through the menu and once we looked up to locate the waitress she was ready with notepad in tow.
Spring rolls, beef noodle soup (Pho), Crispy Chicken with red rice were ordered. As well as an avocade shake and a sour sop shake. The shakes (made with just the right amount of ice) came out first and they were delicious. We waited about 2 minutes after our shakes had arrived and the spring rolls come out, they were served with some lettuce and asian herbs with an accompaniment of fresh tasting fish sauce. The spring rolls were crunchy with a good amount of pork mince and vegetables.
The beef noodle soup and crispy chicken with red rice come out shortly after the waitress cleared the remains of the spring rolls (there wasn't much left!). The beef noodle soup had a 'made with love' feel to it, it was rich in flavours. The crispy chicken was succulent and cooked perfectly (unlike some places where I've been and they've burnt the skin and the chicken wasn't cooked!). My fellow diner and I left Pho Hien satisfied and extremely pleased with the food and service. Will definitely be returning for some authentic Vietnamese food that doesn't hurt the hip pocket!
