I'd been recommended this place, but I was a bit disappointed. I knew it was going to be very basic and all about the food, but sadly the food didn't save it. It's not really a sit-in restaurant, you're an after thought if you're sitting out the back, with the main focus on the take away counter. Service was polite if non-existent at times, had to go up to the counter to chase up water and glasses and the bill.

I was disappointed that the seafood "grill" platter was actually fried (not deep fried, but shallow oil fried). It makes the whole meal taste very heavy and oily.
The octopus was incredibly tender, and the fish fillet and calamari passable, but the mussels were average, the scallops terrible and tough and the prawns average. Tartare sauce was runny and poor, from an industrial tub by the look and taste. Homemade sauce of chilli/lemon was interesting but a bit overpowering.

The greek salad was pretty good though, although as with most places made with inferior quality fetta. And the potato scallops we got in place of the grilled pineapple were actually really good. All up, it's a decent take away option if it's your local, but I wouldn't go out of your way if you like good quality seafood.

Had a fantastic meal at Peter's Seafood after it was recommended by some friends. I was a little surprised not to see a review on Eatability already as I understand the place has been there for a number of years. I think it is probably known locally for its takeaway food but I thought we enjoyed our meal too much for it to be kept a secret.

We ordered the house fish and chips and were presented with a large portion of grilled fish and well cooked (not too greasy/salty) chips, both of excellent quality.
This isn't fine dining and the ambience is somewhat lacking, however, the food is excellent, the place seems very clean, service is fast and very pleasant and if you're after a good fish and chip meal then this is the place to go. Also it's BYO - which I don't think we were charged corkage on, you can't go wrong!
