Very over-priced for what is on offer. The steak was tough as an old boot, the risotto was mush and the dessert straight from the supermarket shelf. A disappointing night out.
We went to Peronis with a table of eight for Mother's Day.We were overwhelmed with the food, service and atmosphere. Lamb was superb and the creme brulee was heavenly. We have already booked for next year. Highly recommended.
I went to Peronis Restaurant for my wife birthday it was great night out reasonably
price menu filling portion but I did not walk out feeling sluggish. The food is very fresh I had the crispy skin snapper with potatoes scallops and my wife had the veal scaloppine we both had the Brule and it was lush we both can't understand what davo1 is talking about the wait staff were quite helpful and the kitchen staff were friendly, they answer some of are question which was pleasing the restaurant, pleasing to the eye and as we left we had a yarn with the owner which was good because he seemed really enthusiastic.
I came to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago with a group of 3 friends. None of us were overly impressed with the food - quite bland and definitely not Italian.
The ambience was terrible, with a lot of loud noise coming from the kitchen. I felt very sorry for a couple seated near us that looked like they were on their first date - there was a crying baby at the table behind them.
The acoustics in the restaurant is terrible and the crying reverberated throughout the restaurant. There was also another large group near us who were quite rowdy. This is not usually a problem but as the noise travels far in the dining room, the whole restaurant knew exactly what was going on at their table.
Went there for a birthday dinner. Had one of the set menus ($45 per head) and was quite disappointed with the overall quality of the food. The risotto was overcooked and mushy with little consistency. The penne dish had napoletana sauce that tasted like it was straight from the supermarket shelf and the creme brulee was like common carton custard with toffee sugar on top.
The steak was okay, nothing special. I don't know why it claims to be an Italian restaurant as there is nothing much Italian about it. Multicultural staff were friendly and efficient and surroundings were nice. Better value to be had elsewhere.
This place is fantastic, my boyfriend and I can't think of a place which beats Peronis. Food as nice as any highly commended city restaurants though more affordable. Friendly staff, don't miss the dessert menu!
We have been there on a saturday night, we were told that this is a truly Italian restaurant. I can tell you guys that it is very far from Italian, average food for a high price, and I think that they never seen Italy even on a picture or on a movie.
The multicultural staff there is terrible like their pretended Italian food. What to say about the ambience, it look like a overpriced showroom/office and does not have anything Italian or to remind about Italian culture and food which is something completely different. I won't suggest this restaurant to anybody, if this is considered upmarket........what about the real things?????
P.s. the wine cabinet makes it look like a bottleshop.
I just want to know what is Italian about this restaurant besides the name? Food OK with the right prices but don't tell me this is Italian because it's not. It has French, Australian and Asian influence. I think the majority of Australian's have no idea what Italian food is simple as that.
Went for a Saturday night for Mum's 88th Birthday with 6 of us. Exceptional service from Rob. Food was superb, kangaroo was beautifully tender, two has eye fillet steak and raved about them. One was my wife who is a tough food critic. The desserts were superb. Rob warned Dad that the Hazelnut Nougat Terrine would probably be the best dessert he has seen in his 87 years, he was right! Rob arranged a surprise Profiteroles with a sparkler for Mum and the serving staff joined in for Happy Birthday. Overall value was great, wonderful mains and all under $30. We'll be back for sure.
