The Peppermint Lounge is one of the better, less hyped venues in Kings Cross. The atmosphere is pleasant and the music is cool without being too loud. Drinks are quite expensive but the service is good and the comfy seating makes for an ideal recovery venue. It's open VERY late and there is usually a cover charge but this fee is essential for filtering out the scum from a Kings Cross sunrise. Overall I give it the thumbs up.

Nice little place. Went here after getting sick of the line at Soho! Pleasantly surprised, we scored one of the in-wall lounges and some seats and spent the night there! Great music and great place. Will go again.

Went there for the first time on a Saturday night. We were there a little early, 8pm but the music was playing and it was good! Not too loud but enough to drown out the conversations nearby. The staff were friendly and the cocktails were quite good for $7. The thing I loved most at was the little dome shaped lounges set in the walls, fantastic idea, great for couples.

There are certain venues I take overseas guests to for a variety of reasons. I take people to Peppermint Lounge for their cocktails! I can't single out one in particular because they are all amazing and the bar staff are always very helpful when you can't decide which cocktail to have!! Have to love a place that does 2 for 1 "happy hour" too. Great for an early drink with the girls to start off the evening. A more comprehensive food menu wouldn't go astray.

Went to Peppermint on Sunday for the long weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Have been a regular clubber/ bar hopper in Sydney and didn't even know this place existed. The venue has a 70s decor feel about it and found the bar staff to be quite efficient and polite. However, they need a bigger dancefloor and better ventilation as it got extremely hot.... but still a neat venue.

BEST bartenders in Sydney. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Had a great time there on the weekend and was made the best Rob Roy I have had in the world. Decor a bit old but great atmosphere where the staff add heaps to the party.

Great chill out place, with awesome music. Small but that creates the atmosphere, Great crowd as well. DJ's are tops. Bar guys are cool. People tend to push in though and thats about it. Annoying TV ads in the toilets.

And to the waitress (model) you are so devastatingly beautiful it hurts me to watch you everytime you walk past. (I am the guy that sees you in the corner of my eye each time and courteously sidesteps for you each time I am sort of in your way). Mwah.

Great place for a few drinks with friends to chill and maybe have a bit of a boogie or a late night venue when you want chilled out tunes. I thought the staff were lovely.

Great little club bar. Good music and an intimate feel for a club. Great drinks but the bar staff behind the bar have way too much attitude.

They have had a problem in recent months with the sound system whereby some of the speakers cut in and out... very irritating! Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Nice crowd though. Door policy can be strict.
