Good Food. Friendly service. Signature dish of lobak a feature, and this dish and most entrees very keenly priced. Wish I had known about this place earlier. Been twice this week, going again on Mothers Day with family.

Fantastic little suburban Malay, fantastic curries, noodle dishes with street food flavour, and some really interesting entree options (particularly the lobak which is a pork mince wrapped in bean curd and deep fried - crispy and flavoursome!). The staff provide friendly and attentive service. Gets very busy in the evenings and on weekends so make sure you book ahead, they also do takeaway too and are a fantastic option to drop into for a laksa when you can't be bothered to cook during the week. The restaurant isn't huge but is well laid out and is very clean and well presented.

Went with my partner for dinner. We were greeted and seated straight away.

For the entree we had lobak. It was not too salty, flavoursome, and just really really nice. It definitely beats some ordinary spring rolls. For the mains we ordered Beef Rendang and Chicken curry. The beef rendang was perfectly cooked, wonderful flavours and a very generous portion. The chicken curry was what you would expect but better. It was so creamy and had a slight spicy after taste which was very warming on such a cold wet night. To accompany the mains we had roti and rice.

The decor is quite simple, but there is large spacing between tables, so for a small establishment you don't feel crammed. Service was great, staff very friendly and I am dying to go back for the deep fried ice cream, which, unfortunately, was not ready to deep fry that night.

Overall, pleasant dining experience, especially if you are after hearty Malaysian food with tonnes of flavour and away from the hustle of the Epping eateries.

I went for dinner at Penang and was pleasantly surprised. Although the atmosphere (or lack of) didn't really do much for me, the food certainly made up for it. I had the vegetable curry laksa which was delicious and such good value at only $8.90, and my boyfriend had the beef rendang which was pricier at $16.90 but he seemed to really enjoy it. I will definitely be back for more laksa!

Normally go to Alice's but thought would try somewhere new, as they seemed to have slipped lately and loved it. The service was quick and friendly and the premises were spotless. Very impressed with the food and the bill. Will certainly be going back in future to work through the menu.

I wish I had found this little restaurant ages ago. The food is really lovely, especially the lobak entree, nasi goreng, buttered roti and chicken curry. The service is friendly and the restaurant seems very clean. The bill came to less than $20 per head and we were all full and even had some leftovers to take home. Highly recommended.

I have been there already now a few times and I think that everything there is fantastic! I really love the Ipoh Combination- Wat Tan Hor, Char Kway Teow, Har Mee, Laksa, Lobak, Fried Ice Cream, Ice Kacang, Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang, Satay Chicken Skewers and Roti with Curry. The food is amazing, the taste is great, just like I was back home in Malaysia. The price is real good especially with the amount of food you get on the plate. The service is great- they are all really friendly, smile and treat you as if you were a friend there but treat you with professionalism as well.

The dishes come out quite quickly if its quiet but as it gets busy the come out in fair timing. Great to find out that there is a downwards parking area for customers that can be accessed by a lift. Can't wait to go back another time to try their Kang Kong, Curry Puffs, Grass Jelly drink and Ipoh Hor Fun. I really recommend this place for others to try. I used to be a regular at Mamak and Alice but Penang Cuisine is better for pirce, food, and especially service!

Tried their Har Mee & Char Kweo Teow on 2 separate occasions. Service was great. I particularly like the Keow Teow!

We went at lunchtime, fairly quiet Wednesday. Good range of Malaysian food. Had curry puffs (not the pastry type that I'd hoped, but the filling was authentic), lobak (a bit overly salty but good flavour), satay (good, sauce good too), chicken curry laksa (good) and ice kacang (good). Happy with the 10% opening discount, will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.
