Great Thai food in a developing strip of shops. Good for takeaway or eat in. Good prices too.

I had eaten at this place 1 year ago and had thought the food was quite nice, so thought I'd give it a go for a takeaway as I was too tired to go out. So I ordered a takeaway from this now 'pathetic excuse' of a restaurant. I stated clearly 5 times - no coriander. The lady assured me evertime that there would be none, so I placed the order for a Tom Ka Ghai, Green Chicken Curry, BBQ Octopus and large boiled rice. We were told the order would come to $37.80.
When my partner arrived to collect the order, he checked about the corriander and the lady said, I'm so sorry, there is corriander in it, you will have to change your order. So he rang me and I was advised to get a Yellow chicken curry. He had already been there for 10 minutes, so I said to the lady on the phone to cancel the chicken, as I didn't want the rest of the food to get cold. She said but you should get a yellow chicken curry as it will be ready in 1 minute.
So I said Ok. 5 minutes later they rang back and I was told that it too had corriander in it, so I would have to order something else. In frustration I asked for a Ginger stir-fry and could I get it with fish fillets instead, as I didn't think chicken would be as nice. She said no, have the chicken as it will taste better, I said I didn't think so, but she pretty much refused to let me have the fish (I think they must have run out). So I got stuck with the chicken.
When my partner got home with the order, he told me he had been charged $41.50. I said why, he said I must have ordered a more expensive meal (I did not, the stir-fry costs the same as the curry). The BBQ octopus was half cooked and stodgy. There was corriander in my soup and the ginger was a sickly sweet ginger mix, which did not taste very nice. Also, the chicken was very dry, just what I didn't want and why I had wanted the fish fillets.
I rang Patitat Thai to voice my complaints about the food and the exta cost and I was told by a very unconcerned male waiter that he was sorry in a bored voice, and when I queried the extra cost he said that my partner had ordered a ginger beer. I told him that my partner had bought the ginger beer from next door and he said, oh well. What cheek - and what is even more disgusting is that they keep their fridge behind the counter, so what did they expect my boyfriend to do, jump the front bench? This restaurant sucks and the staff couldn't care less, they are simply not interested in the customer. Our 20 minute takeaway ended up taking us 45 minutes by the way - and I didn't eat it as it wasn't appetising to my tatebuds being half cold.
PS: My partner just told me that they had corriander in the sauce as the lady at the restaurant showed him the tin, so bloody hell, everything comes out of a tin.

Best Thai place ever in Sydney: I had take-away for tom yum soup and cashew nut stir-fry with beef.
You'd barely get same taste as sit-in from take-away. However, this is the place where you can taste exactly same flavour from take-away as if you eat in, I could assume, fresh vegetables were cooked crunchy and their combination with sauce was really juicy and entertaining to chew bite by bite.
The soup was divine as well, prawns were not overcooked and I really enjoyed the aroma and its taste. I'll definitely come again. Thank you.

4 of us had 5 mains and money bag entree, everything was delicious and bill only $86 incl rice and byo !.... easily one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. Special mention to the thai omelette (filled with chicken mince) which will become a home delivery favourite from now on.

Our meal at Patitat was enjoyable. We ordered the mixed entree, pak tom, and panang curry. Our favourite was the mixed entree! All 4 of the items were fantastic (money bag, fish cake, spring roll, and curry puff). The panang curry was pretty average. It was good, but not super. The pak tom had perfectly steamed veggies and the peanut sauce was tasty.
The atmosphere was nice, however, we were in the very back table, so it was a bit difficult to grab the attention of the staff. Our meal overall was $38, which we felt was reasonable.

This is a great local restaurant. Service is quick and efficient. Food is tasty and well proportioned. Smallish restaurant so its atmosphere is good. Highly recommended and certainly above your average eastern suburbs Thai.

This restaurant is nice. I'm new to the area and thought I'd check it out. The service is warm and friendly and attentive. The food is okay. Nothing knocked my socks off. I do hope they veer towards traditional cooking and use of spices etc rather than gearing them toward the Aussie palate. This is why we go to these restaurants to experience the traditional foods from these different cultures. I found that what we ordered could have been more spicy given it was a jungle curry.
Having been to Thailand I am aware of what these curries taste like. They should stick to what their homeland do. I will definitely go back here don't get me wrong but I do notice that Thai restaurants here in particular this one do tend to tone it down. Stay traditional that's what makes for a great Thai restaurant!

This is the best Thai I've ever had, I love their green curry! We had fish cakes, bbq lamb, green curry chicken and hor mork talay (seafood in coconut milk), every single dish was excellent and the food presentation was really good. The place looks good from outside, it's even better when you're sitting down inside. The service was excellent, value for money, one more thing it is MSG free, definitely be back soon.

Yummo! We usually get takeaway from here as it is local. Kids love the yellow curry chicken (not hot, so a good intro to Thai food for littlies). We have tried most things on the menu and it is all good. Nice service from Lee, the owner too.

Although I have lived in the neighbourhood for years, I have only recently started going here. What a pleasant surprise! It is reasonably priced and the food is excellent. I have tried a number of their curries and found them all quite good. My partner is a huge fan of cashew chicken, and we've both found their take on the dish excellent.
One of the unexpected benefits of this place is that the size of the place, is small and intimate, without seeming crowded. Even better: it is considerably quieter than most Sydney restaurants. The owners have actually tried to sound proof the place.
Finally, one last note: the food surprisingly is Halal. While I am not Muslim, I find that Kosher and Halal meats tend to be considerably healthier than standard fare.
Well worth the trip.
