Huge variety of sweets, although they could do with a few more savoury options for someone who wants lunch. Had no issue with service on a weekday afternoon.

As for the food, we got a Almond cake, and nutella ice cream which were average. Ricotta cheesecake was great. Not a bad little place, but somewhere we won't go back to in a hurry.

Totally disgusted with the service, went in to have a coffe and cake, next thing the waitress drops a tray with another customers coffee right behind us, the coffee went all over the back of my husband and my jeans and in my shoes, but the waitress was more concerned with the floor and no one was sympathetic to us, not even helping us clean up the mess they caused to our selves, then they had the hide to charge us for our coffee, all they said was oh sorry, sorry my ass, it better not stain my country road jeans, that all I can say.

I seriously don't know what all the fuss is about. I have been trying to work it out for a while with no solid conclusion. I'm so sick of hearing about it this place like its the only patisserie on God's green earth. The ricotta cheesecake and cannolis are nice but thats exactly where it ends. The service is abysmal and as for the biscotti, well lets just say that even nonna would raise her nose.

I love their ricotta cheesecake! It's the best and definitely worth lining up for! It gets really busy on the weekends but the it. Over quickly. Service isn't that great as they just want to get the lines moving but I love their cannolis as well. We gave their gelatos a try but it's not that great with limited flavours. Just stick with their desserts and ricotta cheesecake!

Bread is the only thing worth buying as with for the rest of their so called "traditional italian desserts" they really ought to work on the standards. I mean to use custard that almost looks like water thickened with cornflour, come on! Its places like you that give "Italian Delicacies" a bad name. And for your staff one piece of advice get rid of them and start from scratch.

Every comment below me say the same thing about the staff. Don't you think you should take some advice, cause obviously they are giving you a bad reputation. Overall if you want a patisserie that is reliable, reasonably priced and not "traditional Italian sweets" Then Papa's is the place, just don't eat anything with vanilla custard in it!

Really yummy cakes and great value! Agree with the other reviews about the service though, it is sub par and quite intimidating. I think they do rely on the food and the price to speak for itself but good service wouldn't go astray. The fact is I would probably buy double if I didn't feel like I was rushing out the door and felt comfortable to ask about the product. Take note guys we are after all paying your wages!

Hurrah! It seems they've done something about their service system. On my most recent visit they'd organised some signs indicating that there should be a queue, which means you no longer feel like you're fighting with the crowd for service.

The pizza slices are good for a quick lunch, but you really go here for the sweet stuff. I love their ricotta cannoli and apple flan.

The highs are the ricotta cannoli and those almond biscuits (not sure on the name). The lows were the service. Don't bother asking them what something is or what the filling is, because they will give you a weird look and then ignore you. I bought stuff on instinct alone because I wasn't getting any help.

Have been here a few times and the ricotta cheesecake is amazing! Have had better cannoli elsewhere, but am happy to stick with their cheesecake. Coffee is nice and strong.
Overall it's fantastic value - can't remember exact prices but 2 slices of cheesecake (pretty decent size), 2 pastries, and 2 coffees were under $20. I think it's the same price for eat-in/take away.
