We went with a voucher. The food was absolutely beautiful, except for the calamari for entree. The service was great, as well as the portion size. We would certainly return to this place.

Food was average and the veal in the pasta was over cooked. The pizza was also nothing special. Portion was generous though.
There was nothing wrong with the service except we had to wait for more than an hour between our entree and main. The reason given to us was the kitchen was very busy, but the place was actually quite empty.
The view of Cockle Bay Wharf was very nice and that would be my only recommendation of this restaurant.

The food was pretty average and slightly under seasoned but it was cooked to perfection! The portions were very generous. The service and ambience were nice.

I think that the pizza isn't fresh, or maybe frozen base. The pasta is overcooked.

My experience at passello was so wonderful I had to come onto eatability and write about it.
The night began with a wonderful cocktail followed by some grilled cheese. I had never had provolone cheese before and this rocked my world !
We then had a pizza to share and a pasta dish which were both amazing. The pasta was so tasty and flavoured just right. The portions were generous and plentiful we did no leave hungry.

After arriving just 5 minutes late, our booking for 10 people was giving to a group that just walked in. We sat down in the 'indoor' area, which half the table was indoor and the rest out. We ordered our drinks and food, and waited half an hour for a couple of drinks? and in that time phrase the waiters managed to break three things... the ice tea that came out tasted like black tea with ice cubes in it and was very warm.
Then waited another 50 minutes for three pizzas, which were tasteless and was practically just cheese. When I asked the waiter how much longer on the food it's going to be, he simply ignored me and I had to ask another three times when I finally got a respond of, "I don't know" then came back and explained to me that the ovens were too small and could not cater for the amount of pizza orders they were receiving, did not even apologise!. Was definitely not worth the $140, we paid for and will never be going back!

Was excited to come here for dinner, We ordered our drinks, then waiter came back took order, we ordered gnocchi for main, he then told us no more gnocchi left? ordered chilli pizza crust for entree along with crumbed bocconcini, was ok but brought out after long time.
After finishing entree we waited over half hour for main, when waitress came and asked if we wanted complimentary drinks because taking long, mains came out not long after, very disappointed, pizza base was very hard, toppings were ok apart from mushrooms not cooked properly, supposed to be the Passello special pizza? and my bf had penne saltimbucco which the "sauce" was like dirty coloured water at bottom of the bowl. Could not eat much. Never going back!

Came here for a Sunday lunch and have never felt so disappointed. I had a chicken crepe that was burnt and had hardly any filling. The chicken was dry and there was no taste. The pizza was average and my daughters pasta was terrible. My daughter who loves lasagna had two mouthfuls and couldn't eat any more. My other daughter who is 3 years old had one mouthful of their penne and refused to eat anymore.
The menu is basic and boring and we walked out paying $80 for food we did not enjoy. I knew we should have gone to McDonalds instead! It is a real shame having a restaurant in such a beautiful part of Sydney that has the worst food. Will never go back again.

The food is relatively good although a tad expensive. But when you think about the location it is worth it. The service was mediocre but no complaints. And as for the value it is expensive but I think the view makes it worth it.
Update. I have since been back here since my last review and I must say they have really lifted their game. The gnocchi were to die for each piece of fluffy goodness better than the last. The waitress who was taking care of my table that night was very helpful with suggestions. I had a wonderful evening and I will most certainly be returning here soon.

I had breakfast here on a weekday morning as I was attending a conference in Sydney. The place looked nice and so did the menu. I ordered a cappucino and the crepes with cream and fresh strawberries and strawberry coulis. I couldn't believe it when it came out: the (2) crepes were tough as old boots, clearly cooked too long ago and just reheated. There was 1 strawberry, cut up. The cream was that awful whipped cream out of a pressurized can. The ice cream was full of little bits of ice (obviously not cooled well) and the whole thing was stone cold. The coffee was nice, but not great value for the price you pay. I know this place is in Darling Harbour and the views are nice, but I will not return here - this was appalling! Paid $15.50 for the crepes + coffee, and I've never felt more disappointed about breakfast in my life.
