Over priced for a banquet consisting mainly of Turkish bread and embarrassingly small and bland serves of main dishes.

Nice atmosphere and quick service. Felt like luxury and tasted like bland. Went here on a whim because we won a free ticket. I had heard from others that it was the 'shi shi' of Turkish restaurants in Newtown so to go there free was a boon. We chose entrees and mains, and were served happily even though the staff knew we were there for free. The food was so-so in quality in the entrees and bland in the mains. We were left wondering about going for a kebab up the road to get the full Turkish meal deal elsewhere as we felt seriously unsatisfied. Luckily we didn't have to pay and we won't go back. It was very expensive for average quality food.

The food is not too bad - not so much haute cuisine as something your (turkish?) family/ friends may have cooked for you. But the flavours are honest, if not amazing. The service is warm and the atmosphere is fun. And definitely try the Turkish kahve with cream and liquor after your meal - it's amazing and will leave you less irritated with the somewhat inflated prices!

This was the most overpriced and tasteless meal I have eaten in a long time. The menu is inviting, enticing you with words such as slow roasted, succulent and tender - nothing could be further from the truth. We ordered a lamb and a quail dish, both were overcooked, dry and tasteless. The entrees were basically yogurt, I wouldnt even say variations of yogurt because if there was meant to be something else in it I couldn't taste it. It is criminal to charge $24 for a main meal which is cooked by someone who is quite obviously incompetent in the kitchen. Don't waste your money.

Lovely decor and the belly dancer was great to watch. Didn't make anyone get up that didn't want to which was good. Food was nice but nothing special. Kind of expensive for what we got.

Stay away, vastly overpriced and small portions. I was hesitant about going here after reading these reviews but it was a group thing and I didn't want to be rude, so I went. I also am still fuming after my experience there as this is an insult to Turkish restaurants. The food costs at least double the norm for Turkish restaurants for approx. half the portion! They tried to charge us for a dish we didn't order, hoping that we wouldn't notice! Where do they get off charging a whopping $8 for Baklava!

When the food did arrive, it was bland, the iskender was just flavourless meat covered in another flavourless tomato sauce. We even chased us outside for 2 teas missed off the bill! talk about squeeze the last cent out of your customers! I doubt they have many repeat customers. There are many better and cheaper Turkish eateries in the area.

I am still fuming over my experience at this restaurant. 4 of us ordered a banquet and were assured the food selection was huge - as it does not specify exactly what dishes are on the menu. The dips came out on 1 plate and were literally 3 spoonfulls of dips, and 2 small slices of turkish bread each for 4 people! Then we got a small plate of eggplant that amounted to 1 tiny slice each. As main meals came out, we received one bland plate of lamb in a plain tomato sauce, followed by some dry koftas.

After waiting for a long time for the next course, we asked the waiter when we could expect the next plates (as we were still somewhat hungry). He explained that we had all our dishes! We couldn't believe it. When asking him where the chicken dish was, he replied that the chicken was mixed into the lamb dish! We were so appalled and left hungry. We had been totally ripped off and I would recommend staying away from this place!

Aside from the value for money, there really isn't anything wrong per with Pashas.

The problem is that there really isn't anything right either. In fact the worst part of the whole experience is the feeling that this place could easily be so good. The food, service and ambience just lack the spice and sparkle that is to be found elsewhere on King Street.

Have visited Pasha's twice and had two different experiences. Can be good but the place seems to be getting tired.

Couldn't get over the prices, very over priced for what is essentially a kebab. We were the only ones in there, which came as no surprise. Food was yummy, just need to bring the prices down about $5 per meal. Price was fine though with the entertainment book. Atmosphere was great, beautifully decorated. Friendly staff, but very relaxed.
