My mum and I went to Pasha's for the first time tonight. I have been wanting to go here for a long time as I always pass it walking down King St and it looks so amazingly decorated and inviting.
We now Love this place! We had never tried turkish food before and now we're hooked! It was honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything was so fresh and presented beautifully. We'll definitely be going back again and again. I recommend you do too!
I found this to be a delightful night out with my family of fussy Arab eaters. We totally loved the food. Great vibe, arrogant but still friendly service and decent value. The menu needs to be re-written as a lot of it is in Turkish and, therefore, unreadable. The waiter explained that the headings were in Turkish but the contents of the dish were in English. Either way, we all still felt it was too hard to read and ordered the banquets.
Pay the extra $10 more and order this banquet instead of Sultan’s at Enmore. A contrast of comparisons.
The food was lovely, ambience great and for most of the evening the service and value was fine. Until the bill came. They tried to charge us for a more expensive bottle of wine that we did not order nor receive and when questioned, as per the other reviews, staff became argumentative and rude and refused to believe that they had made a mistake. We ended up paying the extra money but will never return to the restaurant.
My review is actually quite similar to the review below. The food was delicious, we got the $35 banquet which came with 5-6 dips, bread, eggplant, courgette, chicken, beef and I think lamb, lovely rice with raisins and almonds then two desserts and tea, pretty good value made even better with an entertainment book voucher.
Service was attentive without being overbearing. Shame about the overall rating on eatability, but I think, from the last few entries, they're definitely on a winning streak at the moment.
We came here as we had the 25% discount voucher from our entertainment book and needed somewhere close to the Enmore. We hadn't read the reviews and am actually quite glad I hadn't as they are fairly misleading. I guess that just proves you have to make your own mind up! We had a great meal (the $40 banquet) all very tasty and plentiful. The waiter was friendly without being obtrusive. Will definitely return as was great value for money!
This was the best Turkish food I have ever had. This is a great restaurant with excellent service and yummy food. We went there on Saturday and also enjoyed a bellydancer show.
It was first visit and the food was very good. The best turkish food ever I can say but the service was dreadful! they practically forgot we were there. The waiters will not look around when serving 1 person (why they carry a waiters book I don't know) so I wasn't impressed at all with the slow service. Plus the tea took 20 minutes to serve. How long does it take to bring 3 cups of tea! will advise to go if you're not in a rush.
We had the banquet which is great value for money. All the food was lovely, the service was brilliant and the belly dancer is amazing! loads of fun. Don't forget about the great courtyard out the back.
The first time we went to Pasha's was when we had a group of people from work about 20 celebrating promotion of a new manager. We expected average food and service but we were overwhelmed with the friendly atmosphere and absolutely superb food of excellence. I can't understand some of the comments made here when the meat is marinated and cooked to perfection and side dishes are so delicious and fresh also they tried their best to please and accommodate for everyone.
Vegetarian food was delicious as well. We also enjoyed the entertainment had a great time. For all the time we were there they were trying to please us all and at the end of the night we left extremely happy taking with us a wonderful experience. Ever since then we have been going to Pasha's regularly with friends and family and each time leaving totaly satisfied with food, service and atmosphere.
Do not let the ambience of this place lure you in. The waitress has a serious attitude problem. She was very pushy and stressed twice that we should order the platter to share after being told the first time that we did not wish to order the platter. We ordered a starter and two mains. The lamb kebab was inedible. The meat was tasteless and extremely dry (re-cooked). We also ordered the meatballs which were also lacking in flavour.
Confronted the waitress and the senir staff to advise them how poor this meal was and they said this is the first complaint they have ever had and were very defensive with no apology. They also did not deny when we pointed out that the lamb tasted re-cooked. We left here feeling ripped off and extremely disappointed. I would be very surprised to see this place still operating in twelve months time if it keeps serving up such appalling food. We will never go back here again and will never recommend this place to anyone.
