It was recommended to try Parea by my daughter. We got a group of six together and opted for the Banquet. Great value for money and you get to try everything! Although the traditional Greek salad does not have lettuce, I have to say it was great! Crisp as if just picked! We were all looking forward to the spit roast lamb But were served filleted lamb cooked on the spit.

Disappointing but still very nice and so Moorish! We were that Full, much to our regret, that we could not have sweets but did have great traditional coffee! Nothing is too much for the staff and there is an Abundance of them at hand for your every whim! I would love to see whole Lamb and pig on the spit, someone on a bouzouki in the corner, traditional greek wine in barrels and you will agree with what I have put down once you Go to try it and enjoy it!

Went to Parea after reading the reviews on here. We ordered the banquet menu for 4 people. The food I must say was very nice, everything was done to perfection, now if I was to nit-pick and find fault I would say 2 things. The Greek Salad Does Not have lettuce, I really wish places would stop putting lettuce in their Greek Salads, I know its a cheap space filler but its not authentic. The pit roast lamb is of the yeeros variety but still very tasty. If they fix that up I would have scored them a 10 with the food.

The service was outstanding. The wait staff was prompt and consistent and this was on a very busy Saturday night, yet they never stuffed up our order and everything came to the table quickly including drink top ups and so on.

The place is loud but happy, the fact there are always people there should speak volumes, not a place for a quiet dinner but the atmosphere is good.
Pretty much on par with other Greek restaurants in terms of price. Overall a enjoyable experience, will be going back.

The food was delicious! We had an advance booking for 14 people and ordered the set banquet. There was plenty of food, cooked just right and well presented. The dips were delicious and seemed home-made and not store bought, Lamb was soft and juicy. Haloumi cheese was divine as was everything else served by our friendly waiters.

My only regret was that I ate too much and didn’t have room for any of the dessert! (Some of the group had the gelato and loved it). The ambience is interesting, modern, with a big open space and plenty of seating. It was a full-house and all the other diners there looked and sounded very happy too, we weren’t the loudest table!

We were so glad we chose Parea. Definitely one of the best Greek places in Sydney for a get together.

We have just been seated and already I am commenting on the quality of service. The menu is given to us and the first thing I notice is its not a huge menu, Which I find fantastic, I hate large menus. The pricing, fantastic a lot cheaper than I would have ever expected. I look around and the place is busy and there are plenty of staff to ensure there is no long wait. The building itself looks great. An industrial comfortable feel with some great woodwork, lighting, ceiling support frames and open for all to see kitchen.

We ordered a couple Shiraz cabs, the Haloumi and dips as an entree, a gyros and souvlaki plate followed by a coffee. I always find faults everywhere I go for dinner Always. Yet I couldn't fault anything apart from the fact I would have preferred the lights a little bit dimmer.

Had dinner with friends on a Saturday night, they have 2 sittings, 1st at 6pm then 2nd at 8pm. We opted for 8pm so that we wouldn't have to rush dinner and were the last to leave at about 11pm. Would have preferred a 7pm start as we were still eating at 10pm.

We had the set menu for $36 which was a variety of sharing plates but did not include dessert or coffee. The food was great and the meat cooked to perfection! I only wish I had left room for dessert.

The service was great, especially for such a large restaurant. Bit on the noisy side but that's greeks for you. Highly recommend but would have preferred if they did 1 sitting and closed a bit later- 11pm on a Saturday night is a bit early! Some greek dancing at the end of the night would have made it a more enjoyable night.

Bit expensive for takeaway. Ordered something from the menu and was brought out a substitute which I wasn't informed about and actually didn't want. I realise when you are busy food may sell out, however, have the courtesy to tell the customer Not assume they want whatever else you have given them and don't have attitude when you are told a person didn't order that item. If you do this too many times people will stop coming.

I certainly will think about coming back. Need to offer something (free) as well for people spending a bit of money, you are not cheap and that is the least you can do for your loyal customers who keep coming back.

Sydney needed a venue like this. When I rang up to make a booking, the kind staff member informed that they are fully booked every saturday night for 4 weeks. So I made a booking for the 5th saturday and I wasn't disappointed. The venue itself is amazing, the rustic warehouse feel added character to the place. I went with 3 mates and we are pretty big boys and we sat down and our waiter was full of joy offered us drinks while we peruse the menu.

By the time we read the Starters on the menu, our beer on tap was served, absolutely great. The menu was cheap so we asked the waiter if the portions were small and he said that we will be more than satisfied with the portions. We went with the set menu and I gotta say, it was Fabulous.!

The soulvaki cooking is and art and the team at Parea have perfected it, a must see. The souvlaki cooks behind a glass kitchen and everyone is attracted to the view. So, we are half way through our set menu and we decide to order some wine. Glad to see the boys have a boutique wine list and not some dodgy list. We ordered a nice shiraz from Greece the waiter recommended and it was Perfect.

We finished the set menu and we were satisfied and Not stuffed like pigs and felt sick as our waiter then offered a dessert menu. We said to the waiter to arrange what he recommends and he brought our a tasteful platter of Greek sweets and gelato, finished with a nice coffee. I have an espresso with no sugar and its always a good test to see if the Barista knows how to make coffee with an espresso and mine was lovely and smooth and not bitter.

A must place to visit and you will go back. Might be a little bit noisy but that's the sound of people and friends enjoying their food and laughing and talking and eating and doing what Greeks do best and thats being in a circle of friends called "Parea". See you again.!

Best Greek food, we loved it-simple, well cooked and delicious. The lamb off the spit melted in the mouth and is a must. These guys have got it right, great food, great service and great value, it doesn't get much better than this.

Typical Greek fare although menu is light on seafood. We had the platter for 2 which was a meat fest. Food was ok but overpriced. It is a great place for take away though with the spit lamb sold by weight.
