I can not understand how this place's rating is this high. I ordered a curry puff dish, which was very dry, and their Pad thai didn't really taste like a Thai food.

Although I was a little bit skeptical given the small number of reviews here, I went there for a dinner with 2 of my friends... And, I could not believe people actually think the food at this restaurant is decent. The food is really below average, and the price doesn't justify the taste and the quality of their dishes. There are definitely better restaurants out there for the price you pay here.

Absolutely the best food. 8 of us went there with 2 who were vegetarians and we tried quite a few dishes. The Char fish and the pineapple fried rice were absolutely perfect. We all had different desserts and I had the Thai chandol, loved it. The prices were good as well. Everyone was congratulating me on having found the place. Try It. Try It.

Went there Sunday for lunch, luckily we were the only ones there! We got the chicken pad thai and the choo chee with prawns and both were perfect. Alot of pad thais are too oily and use low quality noodles, not here! Good quality ingredients, friendly staff, and as others have said I will say too, try the homemade ice cream it is excellent.

Value is good, average prices for most main dishes $10-16. I will definitely be going here again soon! Great quality food at average prices, how can you go wrong.

Authentic Thai food served here. The first time I've tried coconut soup and it was very nice. The homemade ice creams showed the restaurant is serious about their food. A little more spice (heat) wouldn't hurt but overall very good and tasty dishes.

I have been going to Oriental Ricebox since it first opened its doors. I am as impressed today as then. Beautiful decor cosy and romantic at the same time. Unobtrusive yet efficient service with a smile. Authentic Thai cuisine plus the owner's healthy attitude that "nothing is too difficult" or unobtainable (of course within reason) makes each visit a memorable one. Without doubt, one wishes to return time and time again. Life is too short to miss this one!

Seriously I do not know how this place can be rated this high. Ordered take away and it was utterly disappointing. I would have preferred to eat a meat pie or instant noodles. I just finished the food and I had to express my displeasure.

Came here to pick up some take away lunch and was so impressed. The service was so great and the food was delicious. Definitely try them out! You might miss them if you don't look for them on the main road but I totally recommend them :)
