Had breakfast here recently, service was okay and despite the cute building and out of the way location, the food was average. I have corn fitters, which were cold and the kernels were dry and chewy. My son's toast was cold and the coffee was you guessed it, cold! We won't bother going back.

Had breakfast here for the first time on Sunday, I have gone past this place many times but never eaten here. I was pleasantly surprised. Food, coffee, and service was good and I will definitely be back.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Good food and nice place to sit outside esp when the sun's out, quite relaxing. Service was a little all over the place, but the food made up for it. Orange Peel Frenzy is great! Coffee is good too.

We used to go to Orange Peel all the time, mainly due it being just round the corner from our place. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone downhill very fast recently. The service was always leisurely but now it is just slow. The portions are smaller but still priced the same and orders seem to be consistently taken down incorrectly.

A shame really as it used to be our favourite place for breakfast but we won't be back.

This is one of the better breakfast venues in Balmain. The coffee is good and they have a comprehensive menu for breakfast: scrambled eggs with bacon and eggs benedict both particularly good.

Said before the below comments, it’s decent enough for breakfast, when it’s quiet. People grumbling should head elsewhere because the rubbish they serve out west or the eastern suburbs can be proper ropey-viva Balmain!

"Food is good but the place is a bit cramped and has a slightly cliquey feel to it. Is it a stand out from what is offer on Darling Street? Probably not."

Ok for a breakfast place in Balmain. Sit outside if you can, inside is noisy and crowded. Waitstaff are friendly but slow. Food is good , but a little on the expensive side. I wouldn't recommend the eggs Benedict. All in all, there are a lot better options in Balmain than the Orange Peel.

Found this treasure a few months ago and have been on a regular basis since for their generous portions, homemade style fresh cooking (micks special is a must) and friendly service!

A great find! I went there for the first time and it was absolutely a great experience. Great food (highly recommend the eggs benedict), service was good and the coffee was good too! sat outside on a lovely sunny afternoon so couldn't have asked for more.

I have eaten here a couple of times and seems that there is no improvement. Although the food is relativley good, I find the staff and service extremely uninviting. The prices are way over the top, however with a little TLC and some happiness training for the staff and management, the atmosphere could improve. Unfortunately I am disappointed again.
