The service here was great, but of course in any bar the value is a bit extreme. However I think it may be the cheapest around the area, and with nicest staff. The ambience is good when there aren't loud mouths on the verandah. I'd go back here for a drink.
The food isn't that great but after finding out city extra cater for them it explained a lot! the bistro is good for snacks like the potato wedges and schnitzel, they are great and so are the choc pancakes.
The staff behind the bar are bubbly and nice, unlike most pubs where the bartenders just rip things out from underneath you, they ask if you are finished and ask if you'd like anything else. I'm definitely going back.
Some of the worst food I've had and I like the place too!! If they had better food I would go there for a meal and watch the sports but since it doesn't, I don't go there to watch sports. With so many choices on church st, this would be the last place I would pick to eat at!! Disappointing.
It's quick, cheap and efficient. If you can't be bothered waiting 1/2hr to be seated at some of the surrounding restaurants, this is venue will always cater for you. I can't see what all the complaints are about. I don't think one world claims to be a top notch restaurant, so you get what you pay for.
The food is average in quality but is really very overpriced considering you're getting it in essentially a sportsbar!
I cannot see why anyone would go here TO EAT, really you would only ever grab something if you couldn't drag yourself away from watching something to any of the other nearby cafes etc.
Do yourself a favour, eat at the superb places all around this THEN go here to watch/do whatever you want.
This place is awesome. Came here on a sunday not too long ago and the Dj was playing along with some percussion players. And it's a sports bar so it's tops.
Me and my friends came across this bar and decided to go in. The place was pretty nice! But they have a pretty small dance floor. Everything seems to be fine expect when i left (i had a bottle of cruiser in my hand) the bouncer didnt say anything and just grab it off my hands and walked back into the bar!!! I mean, how rude was that!!!! There was no sign or anything saying that you're not allowed to take alcohol outside and even if that's the case, the bouncer should of asked or told me that i'm not allowed to take alcohol outside!! That just spoils the entire night and i wouldnt go back there again!! No way, not after that experience, there's plenty of better bars around!!
