Breakfast at the beach for my wife and I, coffees and bacon and eggs. A view, a breeze, a blue sky and the ocean, that is life! Get out, go to breakfast or lunch and enjoy the beauty of Dee Why. The prices are reasonable, just about the same as the rest of the strip.

Small portions on large plates with big prices. Not worth the effort, miss this place, there are plenty of others to try on the strip.

The menu has 2 prices. One is the weekend price, the other weekday. On a Sunday a burger and chips $17.50! Was so not worth it- bland (didn't even have any sauce).

Smiles from the staff must have also cost extra. They looked and acted totally put out by customers being there. Will not go back.

Coffee is always good here and the service not always there sometimes, however, in my past experiences it has always been good. Since the reno, the ambience is good, there is a lot of room and it has a good vibe.

To be fair we have only eaten here once and that was outside, however, the burgers were, by quite some margin, the worst we have ever had, not worth $6 let alone $16. This was just terrible and certainly I will not risk giving them a second chance.

I just took my family for a night out. What a total rip off, my six foot son ordered the salmon and for 33 dollars thats exactly what he got 1 med size piece of salmon, no salad, no vegies! Dessert was ordered when two arrived they proceeded to tell us that the other two were 'sold out' why wouldn't you say that when the ordering was being done, and then get charged 10 dollars for the ice cream! In this day and age when taking your family out for dinner is a luxury you expect to get a great meal (certainly not go home and have toast) excellent service and treated like they would love for you to come back!

After the experience I've just had at On Shore I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I liked. The value for money is terrible, $30 dollars for a tiny piece of salmon is a complete rip off. The senior staff was rude and I didn't enjoy my time at all.

We became aware of this restaurant through a deal offered on Ouffer. The offer was a seafood platter and dessert for 2 and a bottle of wine, a total of $157, the offer for which was $69. The seafood platter, a variety of hot and cold, was masterfully presented, fresh and absolutely delicious. All that we left on the platter was an empty wooden basket! The fruit in the basket had been all but sliced off the peel making it very easy to eat. We received more on the platter than was pictured in the offer.

For dessert my wife and I had the homemade date pudding with toffee sauce and almonds and pancake stack with grilled banana and ice cream and maple syrup. Ice cream was an extra on the menu for the pudding but they would not allow us to pay for it which was another nice touch. Both of the desserts were delicious but the pudding particularly so because it was something different to the everyday sticky date pudding.

The service was excellent. The friendly waitress even replaced the bowl for the shells when it was full and there was a good size finger bowl rather than a thimble size one that is often provided. We went on a Saturday night at 6.30 and although the place was by no means busy when we left very full at about 8.30 the dishes that we saw at other tables during that time all looked very appetising.

The deal was of exceptional value and was up with the very best of the many we have experienced to date. Unlike some other restaurant deals that we have experienced, they, very much to their credit, in no way skimped on that to which we believed we would get when we purchased the deal. They indeed went that extra mile and certainly deserve to do well in what is a very competitive industry. We will be returning there and recommending it to our friends.

We traveled to Dee Why to sample this restaurant that we'd been told about. Dee Why was a surprise - a beautiful beach-side suburb with plenty of restaurants, but without the rowdy culture of Manly or Cronulla. On Shore Cafe Brasserie itself is simply decorated, with a marine theme and would be delightful for a sunny lunch or during summer.

We had the seafood platter which was great! Oysters, smoked salmon, mussels, balmain bugs, fried fish and grilled ocean trout, calamari, bbq octopus, and fresh fruit! It was great - filling and complete. Staff were really friendly and managed a busy restaurant with very few of them. Prompt and skilled, they made sure we had a great night. Make the Dee Why trip!

My husband and I enjoyed the seafood platter and there was a lot to enjoy. We shared a piece of the chocolate cake for dessert, delicious! The owner is always friendly and comes by for a chat.

Food was great, but if you want to be hurried to eat your meal then this isn't the place for you. A waiter took my friends plate when she was obviously finished and then picked mine up without asking, when the cutlery was still in my hands and I was chewing! Rushing to get us out of there? (even though it wasn't busy) Or just bad service?
